The food was delicious! The guacamole and salsa tasted super fresh and everything was seasoned so well. I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas and my mom had the ground beef chimichanga dinner. Both were amazing! Our server, Christian, was very friendly, attentive, and positive. He proactively offered insight on some of the most popular dishes after asking if it was our first time there. The atmosphere felt slightly upscale but not so much that you would feel out of place in jeans and a T-shirt. Great place for some Mexican food!

I'm a first-time visitor, and I must say, the staff here is exceptional. To be completely honest, the starter chips didn't quite impress me; they lacked flavor. The same goes for the Queso Nachos; the queso was rather bland. The Tamale didn't appeal to my palate, but the cheese enchilada and rolled tacos were absolutely delightful. The guacamole, on the other hand, was bursting with flavor. Overall, I'd certainly return as the menu offers plenty of choices, and the attentive staff make the experience enjoyable.

Back again after 2 1/2 years during a Scottsdale family visit. Food a bit more pricey (like many places ). Refills on excellent chips and salsa are $2.00. Food is still very good. This is the only place we know that served green corn tamales. Other traditional items are also very good.

Let me start with what I was not happy with so hopefully management will see this. I didn't want to give it three stars because the food was so exceptional but the service really sucked. This afternoon I went in there with a friend for lunch. There were only five other people in there eating. The male server came to our table right away and asked what we wanted to drink. Then when he brought our drinks he disappeared for the longest time and I had to wave him to come over to give him the order for our entrees. He did come over and bring me more iced tea before it ran out. But when we were done we waited the longest time to have someone come over for us to ask for the check. And while he was talking with a table that had sat down to give their order when he looked over I motion for him to come over. Which he did come over after he was finished talking with them and I asked for the check. An extreme amount of time went by for both of those and I had to flag them down so it was not easy. I gave it for Starz because the food was so exceptional. The salsa and chips were amazing. That is one of the freshest salsas I've ever had. And for corn chips I've never tasted corn chips that good I always prefer flour. But these definitely were well worth it. I ordered the chimichanga with beans and rice. And that chimichanga was really good. My friend ordered the tamale combo something and he said that is an awesome tamale. So management hopefully you get this server Miguel to be more aware of things.

My wife and I recently dined at La Fonda Del Sol, and it was an absolute delight! The friendly staff and delicious dishes made for a memorable experience. The dishes were delicious and we had enough extra to take home. The prices were very reasonable as well. Can’t wait to go back!
