We had a reservation on the patio after walking the canal convergence. The location, live music, atmosphere, food, service, vino, all were wonderful. This may be my favorite Spanish restaurant in the valley. It was authentic as it was charming. They offer a rather nice filet as well, with an amazing blue cheese spread. Jamie was rather busy but took great care of us.
I specifically chose Tapas Papa Frita for my out of town guest. Her mother was born in Spain, so my guest is a great judge of Spanish cuisine. Let’s start with our personable waiter Kevin, fabulous from the beginning to the end! Our cocktail was delicious and did not lack good pours (see picture, I’m absent of the name). We had the set menu, which included delicious tapas and paella as our entree, and everything was perfect, presentation to excellent flavors and prepared to perfection. My guest referred to the Paella as close to her mother’s, but of course her mothers is better, lol. Obviously I highly recommend Tapas Papas Frita. Thank you, enjoy your experience!
We were walking by and decided to stop to grab a couple appetizers. We were very impressed, so delicious! We will definitely be back to try some paella!! Highly recommended this place.
Service was amazing. Their garlic sauce goes really well with the paella. Would definitely go back in I am in town.
A great place to spend time with friends and family while enjoying a veriety of different dishes. The chefs special is the way to go in my opinion. Nice patio to sit and enjoy views of the canal walk.
The paella 🥘 was pretty good 👌🏻we had tapas too very small portions and overpriced 👎🏻other than that the restaurant was very nice we enjoyed the outside seating 🫶🏻
The food was good. In the paella the muscles were fishy. But we are in the middle of the desert. So it's not that bad. The rice was perfectly made. The rice was not overcooked which happens alot. I would go again
Amazing food that brought my taste buds back to Granada. Albondigas y churros con chocolate stole the show. Cooler nights allowed my group to dine on the patio and we loved it! We're already planning our next visit and it can't be soon enough.

@tapaspapafrita in Scottsdale specializes in Spanish Tapas, Paella and house made Sangria. Highly recommend the crab stuffed peppers and the Ahi/watermelon dish. Our service was outstanding and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The restaurant is moderately priced and in a great location to take a stroll around Old Town Scottsdale after dinner.
A quiet night ( Monday and MLB playoff night), fabulous service, excellent wine suggestion and best Paella I have ever had - lobster and shrimp Paella with saffron rice. The tapas were delicious as well
