If you didn't make it for their special on international sushi day, you missed out and I scored! OMG the sashimi platter came with oysters, an amazing roll and nigiri selection. This is my idea of vitamin sea!!! Who doesn't want omega 3 intake like that?
Outside of that, this is the perfect escape from the desert heat. And now they extended HH all night every night. Butterfish tataki. Scallo ceviche taco. Pork belly taco. Chibi burger. $1 oysters. Who refuses a dozen of that?!?!! Seriously should I just live here? Bartender Derek takes care of you like you are the only customer he waits on. When you have Mirnes marketing and chef Jason chatting up with you, you really feel like you own the place! The only thing missing was my fave server Allie. You have my heart. Lala love love you Roka!
From the fast and friendly service to the delicious filet mignon and salmon, this place is 5 star all around. Definitely glad we found this on opentable and on best steakhouses around Phoenix from Google. Keep up the great work!
The chef’s tasting menu was a great experience. Each dish was delicious, presented well, and complimented one an another. The butterfish was one plate that stuck out for me. They also have a great bourbon selection.
Incredible sushi, the yellowtail and tuna crispy rice were amazing. The chef sashimi sampler was phenomenal. The fish here is amazing quality and the ambiance and service is top tier. Great spot for special occasions!
We had the best experience. We went for an anniversary date, and we weren't disappointed in food or service. We spent about $400 for the two of us (including tip).
Admittedly, it's been difficult for us to garner up excitement to eat at other local sushi places after Roka Akor.
I found out coincidentally afterwards that our amazing server is actually the nephew of my very first boss in adulting from almost twenty years ago. This rocked me. What a small world.
What an amazing Mother's Day celebration! Service was impeccable, food looked as good as it tasted and the atmosphere was inviting and not stuffy. I surprised my fiancee for Mother's Day by bringing her here. We ordered a couple of cocktails and they were delicious. We both ended up ordering the tasting menu(omakase) that was made just for Mother's Day and it was the right choice! Seafood was fresh, flavors were out of this world and the dishes looked almost too pretty to eat! First time there but not the last!! Thank you Will for making the experience memorable. He was very knowledgeable, had great suggestions and was not over bearing.
Have to start with incredible service. Never had to wait, yet never bothered. Friendly yet professional. Great recommendation on dishes. Sitting at the bar got to witness the chefs at work. They were thorough and precise in their execution. Food was perfectly prepared and well presented. Definitely be back.

The food was amazing as always. We have dined there before several times and it has always been great. We had the chef recommended Sashimi and Nigiri, Toro Nigiri.
What an amazing dining experience!! Our waitress, Maddie, was super knowledgeable and friendly along with all the other staff that came to our table. Our cups were never empty. We ate the 5 course chefs choice, and it was wonderful! The peppers were the only thing I wasn't in love with, since I'm a spicy wimp. If you can afford a fancy night out, I highly reccomend this place!
Service was amazing!! We are from out of town and were looking for a sushi restaurant and Roka Akor did not disappoint! They have lots on the menu that wasn’t sushi! Waiter said the sushi was taking a minute but it was very fast! My favorite was the spicy tuna
Phenomenal omakase... The chef brings multiple courses per his preference recommendation $145 per person min of 2....highly recommend. Every course was small, highly flavorful and masterfully paired to leave your mouth watering in anticipation for the next course. Some of our groups favorites.... Grilled octopus, butterfish sashimi, wagyu over smoking stones, miso black cod, the freshness of the seafood is truly what makes this a must see location. You can make reservations online, and save room because the dessert chef makes some of the best ube I have ever had. Go hungry.... Leave highly satisfied
