My favorite place for Chinese takeout. Everything we order is delicious but I especially love the scallion pancake and the spicy salted pork.
The owner is also extremely friendly and caring. I placed an order through a delivery app and did not get half of our food. I called the restaurant to verify it was all picked up. The owner then contacted the delivery app for me who got a hold of our driver and had them come back with the rest of our food. The owner then called me back to make sure the rest of my order arrived.
Great people making authentic Hong Kong dishes. I enjoyed it very much. Very nostalgic for me being away from HK for 17 years. Great value and quick service. Photo is 滑蛋牛肉飯 (beef with egg white, under rice plates in the menu), a popular common dish in Hong Kong.
I will come back one more time before leaving Chicago on this quick weekend trip!
Nice Cafe, they have a nice varied menu with lots of different dishes to make one want to come back. In my opinion they have an excellent duck dish outside of Chinatown Chicago, so we highly recommend trying there duck. We also had the beef noodle, and the stuffed eggplants. The beef noodle was good, so was the stuffed eggplant, except it’s not really stuffed per say, they place the meat fillings on the tip of the eggplant, so it’s more of a topping? Anyway, it was still good nonetheless. There’s also plenty of parking outside. We would’ve given them five stars but we feel the staff needs to be more friendly and personable. The staff just had this stoic cold look about them, all of them. Smile more and be happy we’re giving you business? We’ll still come back, as the food was good.
This place has the best wonton!!! There's no good wonton in Chinatown but apparently they have it here. The 2 rice dishes we got were better than most places in Chinatown too. The Singapore fired rice was very spicy but delicious. And goodness, the chocolate fortune cookies were so good! I can eat it on a regular basis.
The absolute best orange chicken I have ever had in my life! We dined in; the staff were welcoming and very attentive. My boyfriend had the garlic beef and loved it. All of the food smells heavenly, and you get more than your money's worth, in my opinion. Our new go-to place for Chinese food.
Plenty of free parking. The food is excellent. The menu has traditional Chinese foods, family combo dinners, weekend specials, and specialty drinks (red bean ice, lychee tapioca freeze, milk tea). The only minor issue is the wait staff. They are not so attentive. You really have to go over to them or call out loudly to get their attention.
