Peterbrooke Chocolatier

I've been to this Downtown Tampa Peterbrooke location a good handful of times for gelato for myself and for chocolate gifts for friends/family visiting from out of town. Every time I visit, whether by myself, with family, or with my dog, the staff is always so friendly, helpful, and courteous. My most recent visit was the best and most memorable yet as I was preparing a custom gift basket for some friends in Utah. I visited a few shops around the area to gather some "Tampa goodies" to ship to Utah, and knew I wanted to send some chocolates. I chose Peterbrooke primarily because of the friendly customer service I'd experienced in previous visits and because the company is Florida-based (albeit not based out of Tampa). My biggest fear was ensuring that the chocolate got to my friends without it melting. They assured me they could freeze wrap the chocolate and everything would be fine. It was fine indeed! The next hurdle was whether I could throw in all the other gifts (not from Peterbrooke) into the same freeze-packed basket. They made a quick call to the general manager just to make sure there weren't any concerns with that, and they made it happen. I showed up with ribbon, plastic wrapping, and everything I thought I needed to make it look pretty. Turns out I bought the wrong size plastic wrapping, and the ribbon I brought looked ludicrously small for the size of the basket. They offered (at no cost) to provide their own plastic wrapping and ribbon and wrapped everything up for me. That was so kind of them and so not expected. Thank you, Peterbrooke, for being such kind neighbors who I love visiting every time an occasion calls for a visit - be it for myself, my dog, or for friends/family.

Out strolling and stumbled upon a chocolate shop. Late night cravings got the best of me, and I found myself selecting 8 truffles to try. Bad idea, but sooooooooooo good and worth it. The truffles we selected all were so beautifully decorated. They tasted even better than they looked. We had an oreo, caramel, key lime, raspberry, and peanut butter (my absolute favorite), to name a few. Highly recommend stopping in. The staff are genuine and friendly.

I only gave it 4 stars because I dont want to seem biased... treats are my passion ;) and these guys are no joke! Several flavors of locally made ice cream! Chocolates on every wall. They have a real Chocolatier! You can take classes on how to make chocolate!! Oh ... the smell!!! If I could live here, I would!!

Visited this shop when visiting Tampa. These were the best chocolates and I wish we had one of these stores in our town. The ladies running the shop were so very nice. I also left my credit card there and realized it after leaving town. The manager, Jennifer was so very kind and took her time out to mail it to me! Thanks Jennifer!

I was walking down to a nearby restaurant. I stop in since I saw a sign that said “chocolate covered strawberries” I went inside. They greeted me and the staff are nice, friendly, attentive. They helped me so much. They kept a conversation going. The chocolate cover strawberries are sooo good! This place is amazing! I will come back for more! I love the bag they gave me.
