Honestly I fricken love this place. It's not expensive at all and you have unlimited access to fresh good food, because they care how well you eat. Its just a huge salad bar, buts it's a salad bar that, to me, tries its best and that's what really matters. The salad, is it good? Check. The soup, how bout it? Check. But what else do they have? Souper Salad offers delicious foods that aren't soup or salad; the potatoes, pizza, chocolate pudding, ice cream and cornbread are all really fantastic. The atmosphere is pretty decent; I like to sit by the big windows and watch the traffic, but the rest of the place is kind of dreary and sterile, like a nursing home dining room (but very clean and well taken care of!!) Also you should improve some things: all your pasta dishes are kind of bad. I could give you a recipe for mac n cheese that is a billion times more delicious and super easy to make. you should really try harder to get your pasta al dente. Especially in those pasta salads, its crucial that the noodle isn't so soft but really has that little bite. Also, I don't know where you're getting your produce from but I bet it's like sysco or something, so if you were to diversify your offerings a little bit more and reach out to local farmers maybe get some organic produce. Also give me a bowl for my salad!! Maybe there should be a limit to how many senior citizens can be in the restaurant at a time. Just a thought.
Friendly wait staff, wholesome foods with a great variety of soups and salads.
This location was good. Food was fresh and a service stations were kept clean. Staff is friendly and very prompt
What a perfect place for a quick and healthy meal. I've been coming up to SF for work for the past year and never gave this place a try until today. Wonderful, clean salad bar with options that include a bunch of pastas, a few marinated salads, and lots of fixings. Taco/potato bar, homemade soups (I had the lentil, loved it), pizza, desert bar and ice cream. All for around $10 buffet style - an unbelievable value especially compared against the restaurant scene in this expensive town. I appreciate the structure of paying up front, that way I was able to leave a tip and go at my leisure. I'll definitely be returning. Thanks for the simple but delicious dining experience.
Wow Souper Salad..... or Souplatation????
Very similar Souper Salad in New Mexico and Souplatation in California ... but taste is really nice.
I'm visiting here from Wisconsin and I love this place! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff and reasonable prices. A nice change from "fast food". And it makes you feel better because it soup, salad and lighter choices. Wish we had one in Wisconsin.
Buffet, nice selection. Crew kept busy refilling the containers and cleaning up. The soft ice cream must have been very good as customers kept using soup bowls instead of the cups/cones provided!
First the salad bar is clean and the staff replenishing variety of items, they were helpful and I love the soups for my 99 year old mamacita who loves soups plus the choices when you take the $10 super salad. it's been over two years so it great to pick our dinner at Souper Salad. I would tell others just go enjoy a great meal at Santa Fe's salad and more.
I went late on Tuesday...it was PERFECT! ! ! THE greens were FRESH and crisp. Pasta was as tasty as it's ALWAYS been, soup was nice and HOT.
PIZZA is a great pleaser and a "Happy child Maker"......Oh,oh,oh.....the fruit, pudding and cake were My Personal favorite!!! Yep,, I give them a 5 Star rating! Service is excellent!!!
