Flatlanders beware! Don't come in here with your big-city expectations and impatience. This restaurant, and everything else on this island, runs on island time! The waitress here is very nice and does a great job, and the cook makes great food. If you don't like it, at least be polite to the woman bussing and busting her ass to serve you!
A nice quiet hometown joint. Possibly the best clam chowder we've ever had.
We will be returning again before we leave the island to try more items from this menu.
I loved there French bread with olive oil that they serve free with your meals. The herbs in the olive oil was so tasty , I couldn't stop eating it. Yum. The clam chowder tastes great, like homemade. Very nice staff and quick service. Great water views too. They were open when no one else was. Yummy salad bar too.
Restaurant is very nice inside. Lots of character. Good views of the Bay. We had breakfast. The best French Toast ever! Omelet was huge and ingredients very fresh. A wide breakfast menu available. Staff is very customer oriented. Be patient to receive your food. This is called 'Island Time'. Take in the great view while you relax. Definitely recommend it. If your boating, you can drop the hook and dingy to their dock too!!
Food is incredible! Farm to table with meats, fish, and veggie dishes all sourced locally. Great choice to eat out on Lopez Island! Atmosphere is a 3 as the quality of furniture and ambiance with attached saloon bar next door detract from the overall experience. Price is fair for the quality of what you receive. May close early in off-season! Call restaurant to double check hours.
Chicken skewers and Thai slaw were perfection. Burger looked great! Atmosphere and waitstaff good. Will visit again. One of those places that I want to work my way through the menu!
Did dine here 2 times in past month. Place was always welcoming. Burgers are prepared well and food was tasty. I did get attention well enough and my needs has been fulfilled.
I recommend this place, it is worth to eat here.
I went there three or four times in the three days I spent on Lopez Island and every time I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was great. Service excellent no matter the time of day. The staff made you feel very welcome. It’s the kind of place you hope to find when you’re traveling. Well done!
Simply divine, a fantastic destination after a long day biking the island - burger, burger, burger, oyster shooters, chowder and beer!!!
I love the Galley. My folks are residents of the island and we have been going to the Galley for years. Every visit brings joy and full bellies. The waitstaff is attentive and fun, Janet is my fav! Jeff, the owner, has done a spectacular job with the place. I highly recommend you check it out if ever on Lopez. You will leave with a smile on your face and a delicious food in your belly.
