Update 6/16/23 I was surprised to find this closed and was replaced by a Columbian restaurant. "Nice place. In a no frills area. I usually only get menudo here. I tried a lengua super taco and that was tasty too. The menudo has so much meat! I usually have to take it home too. The tortillas are homemade steaming hot and thicker than store bought. They had Kangaroo Jack playing on the TV in Spanish. It was fun to see Anthony Anderson speaking dubbed Spanish. On my way out a preacher had set up at an outdoor table and began praise with a tambourine. Had to appreciate his dedication."
Wonderful food, super nice staff, can't say enough good things.
I'm allergic to soy, and they were able to accommodate me, plus our vegan friend and our friend who doesn't eat beef. 100% recommend the tacos on the handmade tortillas. I'll be driving to San Jose just to eat here.
Hands down one the best tasting Super Burrito's I've had in San Jose. Affordable prices and an amazing taste.
If I were in downtown Mountain View a Burrito of this caliber would easily cost well over $10 and lack flavor.
This is truly an authentic Mexican eatery with a variety of food. A must eat. A must go.
The pupusas had good flavor. However, they were rushed and mushy.
The super burrito was large, flavorful, but too much rice.
My son says that the carne asada flour quesadilla was perfect and had a lot of meat.
My favorite was the Horchata.
Four stars because of the mushy pupusas.
Tacos are delicious!! Food is authentic and fresh. Owner is friendly and always ensures customers are taken care of. Favorite are the handmade tortilla tacos
Maria was extremely welcoming and friendly. The tacos with hand made tortillas are delicious and filling, as well as the rice and beans. I would ask for the salsa on the side because the second time I went it sogged up and broke my tortillas as soon as I picked them up so I had to pick and eat them in pieces. The Horchata was a bit watered down and a bit pricey so I have tasted better. I'll admit I didn't want to go in due to the area it is in , the street looks sketchy but one you come in you feel welcomed. I also liked their projected novelas. Definitely a place I would reccomend aside from their delicious tacos, especially for the customer service Maria gives.
Place was awesome. I went in there and asked for a Papusa. I confused it with the Sopes because my lady took me there and the Sopes was good. Anyways I immediately noticed that it didn't look the same but ate it anyways. It was a stuffed tortilla with chicharrones and cheese with a side of coleslaw. They got benches outside and the place is freshly painted and the girl that works there was super nice. Big score. Btw, I think they take credit cards now.
Food was good. Good price as well.
Menudo is really really good. Not easy to find it these days! Also they offer tacos with handmade tortillas 🤤 love this spot. Support your small local restaurants!!
Even the rice was delicious, and I don't like to eat rice. I had a carne asada plate with rice, beans, and hand made tortillas.
