Gin Ga is one of my favorite South Bay Sushi restaurants. All of their dishes are crafted with love and attention to details. We love letting the chefs create what ever they want. Everything is fresh and delicious, they never disappoint. The service is always outstanding and attentive. I feel at home every time I visit.
We love this place mainly for the food and service. Ivan is wonderful with such a positive attitude. We love the garlic edamame and the sushi options. Ambience is quiet and pleasant. Always easy to get a seat.
We got takeout from here and it was all delicious! We ordered the Mt. Hamilton, Gin Ga, Lion King, Monterey, California and Spicy Tuna rolls. Even as takeout, they came well organised (I've seen sushi all smushed together when given as takeout). Only downside was the lack of names to tell the specialty rolls apart. Everyone had different favorites but the general opinion was that we loved the food!! I liked the california, Mt. Hamilton and the either lion king or monterey the best. If Gin Ga was the one we thought it was, it had not been cut and wasn't as delicious as the rest. While the rest of the family liked the spicy tuna, I didn't like it as much. All in all good healthy meal. Recommend getting one more roll than the number of people eating for the portions to be enough.
Very friendly service. Not too much sauce on rolls. Chirash had good enough amount of rice with assorted fish.
A gem in Evergreen neighborhood. Had really delicious oysters and rolls. Will come back regularly.

Delicious food. friendly staff. Never disappointed when I come here, anytime I'm in the area I always have to stop by and get myself some food.
Great chef with a wonderful eye for quality fish. Family business that truly cares for their customers.
2022 update...still great! The girls have taken over the restaurant with dad helping out on weekends. The fish is always high quality, the sushi rice extra special and the hospitality is always caring and friendly. Try the Japanese pickles for an appetizer!
If you come here sit at the bar. The sushi chef was very kind, funny, and attentive to his guests. The food was to die for. There is care put into his craft, he jokes around and connects with you and your guest. from what I can tell, he gets to know the regulars, and always has something special catered to their taste, and remembers what they like, he will make special nigiri or rolls catered to what they normally order. the fish was very fresh when I went, and we had a great experience, and we talked with a lady at the bar who was a regular. The owner puts care into this restaurant, and there is a deep passion and love the chef has for his craft. If you would prefer a more private experience, you can sit at a table, but I had a wonderful experience coming here, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Service was great!!! We ordered the Gin Ga, Millionaire and Hawaiian rolls as well as the teriyaki chicken combo. Everything was fresh, chicken was very juicy and tender and absolutely delicious. Will definitely visit again to try more rolls.
I just celebrated my half birthday with the best Japanese food I have ever had! Yvonne and Joselyn are absolutely amazing, creative, hospitable, gracious, and serve delicious, scrumptious, and perfect tempura, sushi, and gyoza. I cannot wait for my next visit!
