Went there after reading all the positive reviews. I can't deny the fact that their hot dogs are genuinely tasty but the customer service is not good. They asked us to place the take out order since they were gonna close in about 20 mins or so but they let the next person to dine in. Oh please don't even think about getting chicken sandwiches here, they make good hot dogs tho
A hot dog is just a hot dog, but Umai elevates the modest hot dog to another level. Forget weinerschnitzel or Korean corn dogs or even Costco. Sure, it's pricier, but they flavors and textures are worth it. I have eaten here a handful of times and as of right now the bulgogi dog is my favorite
Great hotdogs with creative yet delicious combinations. Staff were nice but lacked some napkins… which was hard because eating these dogs could be messy.
Like how pizza got reimagine to be a blank canvas for unique flavors, Umai does it with hot dogs. Great ingredients, unique flavor combinations, and excellent execution.
Did they Kyoto hot dogs, chicken wings, and chili cheese fries. All bomb. Definitely will be back.
Tried this hole in the wall spot just by chance and it was yummy! The variety looked interesting so I gave it a go. I ordered the Tijuana wonton appetizer. I’m not sure what was in them aside from cream cheese, I think maybe bacon? Either way they were pretty tasty. You can choose sauces so I got dynamite sauce and cilantro lime. Wasn’t a huge fan of the dynamite sauce as I thought it would be spicier but the cilantro lime was pretty good match for these. I ordered the Kyoto fire hot dog. As you can see in the picture the presentation was well done and not just thrown together like some places. Flavor was good and bun was fresh and perfectly toasted. My only complaint would be that it wasn’t spicy enough but apparently I have a high tolerance for spice!
I was kind of bummed I didn’t notice earlier they had ace hard pineapple cider on tap, that’s my fave! Girl who helped me was nice as well, restaurant was clean.
I would definitely recommend trying this place, I know I plan on going back to try something new!
Heavenly food! The Kyoto Burger and the Bulgogi dog are absolutely to die for. Very high quality meat and soft buns dusted with corn powder. Their cooking techniques are sublime. The cheese stick is also better than any I’ve ever had and comes with a pretty nice mustard sauce. I love to get a side of kimchi to cleanse my palette after all the delicious meat and who doesn’t love that? Love this place — we have started going here about once a week.
Awesome food.
Went back again n again.
Nashy hot sandwich which was ok but we have better hot sandwiches elsewhere .
Kimchi fries were amazing and poku riblets- how can we miss em they r awesome snd this time tried lemon pepper sauce and was good.
California bae Hot Dog is OK
Texas Roadhouse is good
Bacon Cubano is very good
Umai Trufle baga burger is awesome
Everything we get here is always so on point. My friend recommended this restaurant to me and said I had to try it and now it’s one of my favorite places to go. One thing I always have to get is the Umai Truffle Dog, every bite is just popping with so much flavor!!! I’m a mushroom lover which is done perfectly on here especially with the aioli and teriyaki took it to a whole nother level. They got every element of this hot dog right. The Angus beef hot dog tasted as high quality as it gets. 10/10
This place is great they have a lot of variety and very tasty, the service was really slow but besides that everything was very good
Ordered the bulgogi hot dog. Fast and friendly service. Food tastes great and felt unique. Only downside is it is a bit pricey at $10 for a hot dog.
