My parents have come here for years and love it! My dad had surgery recently so I’ve been in town for a while and when we left the hospital Tuesday Mom and I stopped here for pick up. Service was incredible and the food was great! The place was really cute too (inside and patio seating) so I hope next time we can eat there!
Family run restaurant with outdoor picnic style tables (great in the summer). Many items to choose from on the menu. Very filling and seasoned well. Great sangria (and I really enjoy a good sangria)! The restaurant is located in a strip mall tucked way in the corner, go ahead and try this place!
I read one review here with a person saying the food here was tasteless. They are probably used to the overly salty Burrito Factory stuff. The Chile Verde here at Playitas is amazing. I have lived in San Jose since the 70's and grandmas ChilI Verde here is the best. But i like everything on the menu. Not many traditional small mexican resteraunts left in San Jose anymore. There used be so many everywhere.
Stopped by this place while driving through the are. Relied on other Google reviews and decided to try. Very pleased with everything. Wish I could dine in but due to COVID situation had to eat in the car. The place looked nice, staff are very courteous, the food was really good. It felt like a real family-run restaurant. Definitely one of those I sincerely wish a great success.
Didn’t know this restaurant was here. I tried the breakfast burrito chorizo con huevo. It tasted delicious, perfect size and only $7!!
This has been my go to great mexican spot since it's been open. I grew up around the corner and love their staff and delicious enchiladas, salads and salsa! The best is on a warm day, with an enchilada plate, and a beer served in an ice cold mug (see photo). Also a favorite is the chimichanga and the chicken tortilla soup (when they have it)! Go visit and support this local, family owned spot!
Cute little place with a decent outdoor seating area. Food was delicious and the grilled veggies tasted fresh. Guy who was serving us was really friendly too and service was fairly quick. Would definitely come back if I'm in this part of town.
I gave 5 starts for atmosphere even though it's just a little neighborhood hole in the wall, I like it. The food is very authentic .never disappointing.
Both the food and the service were excellent tonight. I had the enchiladas, and they were to die for.
very cute little neighborhood place. More American Mexican than straight Mexican, but very tasty.
