A little hidden gem of San Jose. Absolutely amazing authentic Spanish food served in a cozy quiet setting. The staff is very attentive and makes you feel welcomed and at home. The black rice paella is a must try, but it’s a very big dish - great for sharing.
Ok, this place is not the easiest to find but I’s call it a hidden gem. Run by a small number of staff (assuming bc of covid), super authentic and the food is actually better than I expected. Would like to visit again to try other menus.
Go for the tapas. We had sauteed squid, ox tail, mushrooms, and anchovy dishes for two. They were all great. Has a feel of home cooking, and the food hits the spot. Dishes are somewhat pricy, which may be due to location. We are planning on returning.
Food was delicious and the sangria is a must have! But the cost rating google had for this restaurant was $$ when really it should be more like $$$. Every tapa dish averaged $14 and main dishes averaged $27. The cost of ordering paella was a PER PERSON price. So if you think your going to order one and share, think again. One pot cost us $54. It was a total surprise when we saw the bill.
Amazing tapas and service. 😊 One of my favorite restaurants in San Jose.
It was a exceptional experience, every bite was fantastic! The owner and wife were very helpful in choosing the right menu for our group. They made us feel like family! The prices were very fair. We will go back for sure! A sign of a clean restaurant kitchen is their restrooms and they get a A+ on everything!
Stopped in here for chicken paella. Great food, friendly staff. We also had the garlic shrimp appetizer 👍
Food takes a little long to cook, but it says right on the menu it takes about 30 minutes for paella and it's well worth the wait.
One of my new downtown favorites
This place has the best Paella in San Jose! Service is good, the waiters are kind and friendly. My wife and I have become regulars, and they always remember us and have some tiny detail to make us feel welcome. Don't leave without trying the Sangria!!
Great food quite authentic. Chocolate cake was a disappointment. Only non Spanish thing on the menu I guess.
The most amazing Spanish Tapas restaurant in San Jose. The food is delicious and authentic. But best of all, the service is always friendly. It feels like you are home. We have been coming to Picasso's for the last 5 years and we enjoy it every time.
