Amazing pizza. Little hole in the wall places are the best! Just sucks your all the way I'm San Jose I live in Oakley so it's a bit of a ride. We were down their for an event at the civic center and I found it online. Definitely place to get great New Style pizza 🍕
My husband is a New York Italian and he said this is the best pizza that he's had in California! He's been to the San Jose and Sunnyvale locations. I tried the Sunnyvale location today. I was blown away by the decor, great service and amazing pizza!🍕 Comparable to the Long Island pizza I've had before, if not better!
The pizza wasn’t bad, but I also never had NY pizza before. Service was excellent. I’ll be back to try other flavors. The crust was a bit hard to chew for my liking.
I missed New York and needed just a slice of pizza 🍕 ASAP. Found this place nearby thanks to Google maps. Loved it! The staff is super friendly and helpful, just like it would be in NYC 😍
This place is the hands-down, best New York pizza I've had in the Bay Area. The place is a hidden gem and very authentic in it's atmosphere and food. Pizza can be had by the slice, and delicious. My family tried the cheese, veggie, mushroom and pesto slices, and they were all very good. The service is very friendly and there are a few tables outside for seating (no seating inside). They seem to be selling high volume as we saw lots of take out orders from customers coming to pick up. Highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be coming back. My family has a new favorite pizza place in town 🍕
Very solid place to get yourself a slice of pizza. The garlic knots were amazing. Will definitely come back if I’m back in the area.
I feel rewarded every time I choose to eat at A Slice of New York. 5 stars all around to their quality of food, price, and customer service.
All the staff are amazing and do their jobs well.
I appreciate the compassion and kindness my you guys spread. The pizza is always consistently fire 🔥🔥🔥.
A Slice of New York in San Jose is a go-to spot for authentic New York-style pizza. We recently placed a takeout order for a large pizza, half Margarita and half The City (combo), and we were impressed by the flavors, even when enjoying it at home.
The Margarita half showcased a perfect balance of tangy tomato sauce, melted mozzarella cheese, and fragrant basil, all on a beautifully baked crust. The freshness of the ingredients shone through, even after the journey home.
On the other half, The City combo brought together a delightful combination of pepperoni, Italian sausage, fresh mushrooms, sliced red onions, bell peppers, black olives, and fresh chopped garlic. Each bite was a burst of savory and aromatic flavors, and the toppings remained deliciously intact.
Even as a takeout order, A Slice of New York impressed us with their quality and authentic taste. The service was friendly, and the experience was hassle-free.
Some seriously good New York style pizza! Inside is very small with limited seating, there is more seating outside but be aware of that. The lunch special is something like 11 bucks for 2 slices and a drink which is very fair
It’s legit. I was born in NY and even after my family moved to the Bay we always craved NY pizza. My favorite is the white… every time I have A Slice of NY it brings me back… seriously… whenever anyone claims to have “NY Style” I’m skeptical as most are just a bit off… but A Slice of NY is for real!
Any one of us who goes back to NY has to bring a pie or 2 back for the rest of the family. Seriously… we buy a few pies the day before we fly back to California… wrap… freeze and pack them into our luggage. When I first tried A Slice… I knew I didn’t have to got to NY to get the good stuff.
So go and get a slice or a pie now! I gave 5 stars across the board because food is obviously 💯, Service and Atmosphere goes together. It’s a pizza parlor… step up order and enjoy the banter. It’s loud and small… just like the best Pizza spots in NY!
My fiance is from Brooklyn New York #brooklynbornandraisedand he honestly say he felt like he was back home he loved your pizza and calzones went back the next day to order four more pies before heading back home to the central coast and I can say one of the best places to go, I'd drive another 4 hours just for some pizza from here
