Live music, great bar service, good food. First impressions mean a lot when tabs begin at $30 per person and I was pleasantly surprised by the mood and atmosphere of the restaurant.
Definitely not kid’s meal friendly and more of an adult setting, the variety of food choice might take a couple minutes to read through (and translate). Presentation was great and flavors were bold. I ordered the lamb and got a wildcard tuna, both of which were rich in taste and texture.
Drinks were good standard, definitely with some options to consider beforehand.

Nemea has a nice ambiance with well decorated interior. It's located in heart of downtown San Jose with lots of public parking nearby.
Service was excellent. We had reservations for 8.00 pm got seated in nice place and our server informed us that kitchen would close by 9.00 so we would not be able to order after that but we can take our time to eat late .. staff is amazing.
We got nice warm bread to begin.. followed by tzatzaki warm pita appetizers , stuffed mushrooms.
Asparagus Risotto was smooth Rich n yummy, casserole, moschari souvlaki!!! Loved the food.
For dessert we had baklava with fig ice cream, Galactobourke light n fluffy with orange marmalade pistachio ice cream.
All in all TIME AND MONEY well spent building MEMORIES!!!
Great place. It's really pretty and the food was great. The owner is super nice and attentive. The octopus and flamed cheese are delicious as well as the lamb shank.
I always order the rack of lamb when I come here. No other restaurant does them as good. The flavor is fabulous! And Galactobourecko is my go to dessert. Service is attentive, food is tasty and attractively presented. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant was a fabulous choice! The food was delicious! I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki for lunch time and the pistachio ice cream orange dessert. The general manager is really friendly and involved and makes his rounds and gets to know you. He is very personable with a vibrant personality. The service is fabulous including the busboys. With a really lovely atmosphere and outstanding food and service, this is the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to! I can't wait for my return to San Jose! Enjoy!
Tried the Mousaka, which is lamb ragout and it was wonderful. The place was full and we turned up without reservation, but they still accommodated us. The place is big and very nice.

Definitely a restaurant I'd recommend for authentic Greek food in an elegant environment. The prices were a tad high for standard Greek fare.
My friend and I wandered around for a long time trying to find a place that had soup and was reasonably priced. While this place has the best avogolemono soup I've every had, an generous portion at that, the rest of the menu was a little on the pricey side. Our waiter got a little side tracked so to pick up the bill took us longer, but that's really the only negative. The atmosphere and a charming mix of new and traditional Greek decor, very classy. So save up your bucks, make a reservation, and visit. If the rest of thier menu was anything like thier soup and lamb meatballs this place is worth it. If I'm ever in San Jose again this is a for sure stop.
Bustling weekday lunch, but waitstaff was still attentive and food was great. I had the watermelon and feta salad and the avgolemono soup.
