We came for brunch and got the lunch special- Beef Curry with coconut rice and tea salad! The special is from from 11:30am-3pm and it was soooo good!
Their outdoor latio is absolutely beautiful, and the weather was perfect today for eating outside. We had the whole place to ourselves the entire time! (Came on a Tuesday). The staff were really friendly too. Would highly recommend.
Weather was perfect to enjoy light San Francisco breeze and patio seating. Reservation highly recommended as it helped us getting seated quickly. Ordered a Burmarita and Burma Ale for drinks, and pratha with dip for appetizer. And Shan Noodles with Tofu for dinner. Food presentation was nice and food was delicious. The pickled radish in Shan Noodles can make it bit vinegary sour. It may be a good idea to not toss it all together at the same but to own taste. It may also be smart to tell your server the order you want your food to be brought, so that everything does not come in at the same time.
The Orwell cocktail was delicious and I really enjoyed the chicken coconut soup. Noodles were perfect. All around, great food and greet sharing sizes too. It's expensive, but it's downtown SF, so what do you expect! The pork belly plate was ok, it was super rich and spicy so needed some relief. Garlic noodles with tofu were amazing. I'd come back to try the tea leaf salad again for sure.
Beautiful location with outdoor patio seating. Loved the tea salad, the traditional chicken soup and the grilled shrimp. Also had the burmarita. Delicious.
My fiancé had never had Burmese food before and he really enjoyed the experience. Lots of similarities to Thai food with some subtle differences. The dishes were excellent (all served family style) and the service was perfectly friendly, but not overbearing. The buildout was lovely. Great for a date or dinner with friends.
First time trying burma love!! Excellent service and food. In love with spicy noodles.. it tastes like pad Thai but spicy. Fish chowder so good.. coconut rice was so addicting!! Desserts were so delicious. Love fried banana. Since they don't use batter, it's extra crispy and good.
