Hands down on the vegan sandwiches. The psuedo meat was so good. A must try.
The Valencia sandwich 🥪 is yummy! Great place to order picnic sandwiches by the phone and they are pretty quick and efficient despite being very busy on a Sunday lunchtime hours. Had always wanted to try their sandwich and I can see why people go!
The best sandwiches I have ever had! Their menu is huge so you have many options to choose!
genuinely surprised by this place! and i’m bummed I didn’t try this earlier. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but the sandwich was incredible. I got a judah st and it was incredible. will definitely be back to try more things on the menu!
I had the vegetarian BBQ chick'n sandwich without aioli to make it vegan and OMG! A delicious, quick, affordable lunch for a day at the park. This deli is nestled in a convenience store, so you can pick up a bag of chips and a cold drink to wash it down. The BBQ sauce was amazing, all the produce was fresh, and the protein was out of this world. In addition to the fast, friendly service, this place is a new fave lunch spot!
Wow, this is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. All the flavors are well combined. Everything was so fresh, from the bread to all the toppings. My boyfriend and I were so impressed.
We got the Barney Rubble, which is FANTASTIC. According to the person who works there, the top 3 are Valencia St, Barney Rubble, and @studio_dad. Perfect place to grab something filling and cheap for Dolores. Personally I got pretty full from only eating half of it but my for boyfriend it wasn’t enough.
Sandwiches with prime roots (vegan) deli meat is the best!!! And the bbq chicken sammie is a go to as well. The Wait is long when the weather is nice at the park so plan for a 20-30 min wait

Rhea's is up there, definitely in the top 20 joints in the city for sammies. It's a cross between Lou's in the Richmond and (the original) Ike's in the Castro: inventive and unique sandwich creations done up by some choice bread (never sleep on the bread, yo). The Korean Steak (marinated rib eye steak, cheddar cheese, red onions, house pickled red onions & jalapenos, lettuce, chili sauce, garlic aioli, served on acme organic sweet roll) is the must-try and it's legit spicy and super-flavorful. The bulgogi is a bit sweet and goes great with the chili sauce. like the Buster Posey ( pastrami (locally made) wrapped in pastrami, melted pepper jack, creamy slaw, roasted pepper & garlic aioli, kc style bbq sauce served on toasted french roll) because it's made with heaping cuts of pastrami and the aioli and bbq sauce pair perfectly with it.
Stopped by to grab a sandwich for lunch and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back!
Rhea's sandwiches are still fantastic, despite the Korean steak no longer being a permanent fixture of the menu. Thanks Rhea for the sandwich happiness over the years.
Hadn’t been here before today but I definitely will be coming back. I ended up getting the Bryant Steet, because my two initial choices weren’t available and I grew up on Bryant Street. The sandwich was well made with good Dutch crunch bread and quality meats. They also had a decent chip selection. I am very curious to try the other sandwiches to see how they stack up. You can tell this place is a local fave and that the owner is just as much a part of the community as his sandwiches.
***** I was disappointed to learn that their Korean & katsu sandwiches have been discontinued. The owner said they would be available only at certain times of the year. The owner said to rely on Twitter or FB to see when they would be available next.*****
