This lady really made my trip special sharing the teas and her story! I absolutely loved all the teas but my favorite was the jasmine white tea which I picked up a bag of and will be ordering again. I also really liked their roasted oolong tea iced boba with 25% sugar! Cute little tea place.
Tenren remodeled and reopened! Be sure to check it out! They have 4 toppings for drinks so far: boba, aloe, lychee jelly and aiyu jelly. I wanted to aiyu jelly but they didn’t have it yet. I got milk green tea, 25% sweet and the tea flavor was great.
We stopped in on a hot day of a lot of walking and got honey lemon green tea with aloe jelly and it was so delicious and refreshing.
Wish we had more time & focus to sit down and do the tea tasting to find some more teas to take home. I would make time in your Chinatown visit to stop in if you are a tea person!
Great boba. Amazing loose leaf tea. I've bought so many of their loose leaf teas. I'm a big fan!
Tried several teas. Bought two which were suggested. Nice attentive service.
The best bubble tea in town.
Oolong milk tea 🧋 the best!
Ten Ren Tea was a highlight of my recent visit to San Francisco and Chinatown. I was welcomed into the store and offered tea samples. This turned into a "tea education"! Although I have been drinking loose leaf tea (black!) for years, varieties of green tea are still very new. The staff brewed batch after small batch of different teas, teaching me about brewing, types of teas, and quality available. 2 weeks after arriving home, I'm enjoying the teas I purchased even more than I did in the store! I highly recommend stopping for your own tea education.
Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the selections here. They do Asian teas here so if you are looking for flavored ones you are usually out of luck here. They are great for just about any east Asian style you are looking to buy and it smells so great in there. The service was great as I asked to sample some teas and the woman offered to get me what I wanted. She came up with some great ideas for friends to get and learn from. The blooming teas were a great gift idea from the person there.
It is easy to get lost and not sure what to get there but really go again and again to try more and more.
Awesome place to buy tea. The shop has nice little tables and an excited woman who will let you taste different teas. However, she was gossiping about us in Cantonese- which was amusing. I guess she assumed we didn't understand but some of us actually knew what she was talking about. Brought "talking behind your backs" to a whole new level. Other than that, fantastic experience!
Amazingly good service. I was there a few days ago, and Mary was kind enough to give me someone more knowledge on my favorite tea, oolong. I would recommend coming here if you are looking to enjoy a nice cup of tea.
