Remarkable wine and food selection here in the Mission. Had some very, very well crafted steak tartare along side an avocado toast; the wine list was extraordinary and well priced.
Will be back again and again...... prime spot and really nice people running this place.
When a creative humble chef create an innovative menu to enjoy every bite! A great experience accompanied by a great wine list!
20 Spot bar delivers an impeccable blend of vintage charm and contemporary offerings. The decor is undeniably cool, effortlessly merging a nostalgic aura with very welcoming vibes, primarily showcased by an impressive array of old records lining the walls. The staff here goes above and beyond, ensuring your experience is warm and delightful. Though we didn’t partake in their culinary offerings, the food, especially the small plates, lamb dishes, and pizza, being enjoyed by fellow patrons, looked incredibly tempting and well-crafted. The crowning jewel, however, is their amazing selection of wines, offering a sophisticated palette that speaks to both novice and seasoned wine enthusiasts alike. A must-visit spot for an elegant, yet cozy, evening in San Francisco.
This place is a 5star all around! Rather you’re on a date or eating with a friend or family keep in mind this place is not very kid friendly… kids are welcomed but it’s just not a kid friendly environment. the food and service is always outstanding. Everything is made in-house with super fresh ingredients, From the bread to pasta to desserts. Wine selection is also great and the service… they are super awesome :) I love it love it love it 😍 keep it in mind that their menu is constantly changing very seasonal!!
This is the epidamy of a corner bar with tapas, beautiful men that work there, and incredible food! I was taken by surprise by this venue when my new daughter in law made arrangements to have an after-party after their wedding service. This is in the mission, but you have to take a walk there either during the day or come at night. The food will fill your sense as your drinks fill your head. I will come here again, and again. Amazing!!
Super cute wine bar. I tried a natural local wine which was amazing, recommended by the waiter. We had some olives with the wine also very tasty. I’ll definitely be back for more wine and would love to try the food too. Atmosphere was very chill… great spot around the mission!
I’m not exactly a wine person (I know, that’s illegal in Northern California!) but this wine bar is a go to when I’m near the Mission. The service was great and our waiter took the time to help me select a red wine that I actually enjoyed. When I do drink wine I prefer white but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and I was not disappointed.
I'm in from New York City where I frequent the wine bar Terroir, but if I lived in San Francisco, I could see this being my go-to hangout. It has a very laid-back vibe. When I was there they were playing 80's vinyl.
It's not very, but that adds to the coziness of the place. There's a small couch, a good number of tables, and a small "L" shaped bar.
I will definitely visit the next time I'm in town.
Great vibe, good food and wine later ... Forgot time existed.. greater company 🥰
Pros:
- excellent wine selection!
- pleasant indoor and outdoor seating ambiance (outdoor heaters helped)
- service was helpful and friendly
- charcuterie plate was a lovely spread, also tried the pate which was very nice
Cons:
- the pizza was alright, crust was very crunchy and some of the toppings were burnt
- service was unfortunately very slow. We waited over 40 minutes for our pizza
Still, the pros outweigh the cons and we will keep this on our list to come back!
In the heart of the Mission district, beautiful location; the food is excellent. The oysters were so fresh, and their rectangular pizzas are delicious. For dessert, we tried the yogurt panna cotta - light yet so tasty! The ambience is perfect for a date.
I will say now that I don't love wine, but my friends do so the five star rating is earned in part because of their wine selection. 20 Spot changes their menu frequently, but they always offer interesting dishes with a good mix of options for people of every dietary preference. The servers were very helpful in pairing wine with each dish and they were excellent according to the people in my group that had wine.
I had the "flatbread" which was a vegetarian squash and caramelized onion flatbread style pizza. It was excellent. We ended with ricotta cheesecake with fig and it was very well balanced and delicious.
The prices were pretty reasonable with the most expensive item being the $18. Although the portion sizes were a little smaller than you might expect for the price.
