Great staff, great beer list, great pizza - what more could you ask for?
Service was great. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
I came here with a friend for a late lunch (around 2pm on a Friday afternoon). We were visiting San Francisco for the weekend.
The good: Excellent, friendly, and attentive service; tasty drinks, willing to accommodate changes due to dietary restrictions (without a fee); the food is delicious and appropriately portioned to leave you full but not stuffed. I had the turkey club and my companion had the porchetta. Both were wonderful. They are served with house made pickles and potato chips.
The bad: the drink menu is VERY limited. They do NOT have a full bar. So, if none of the drinks on their menu tickle your fancy, you're out luck--I was pretty bummed about the drinks.
That being said, I enjoyed meal here but not enough to rush back.

Great spot for pizzas and salads! They have a lot of unique pizzas options— from sweet and savory options to more traditional pizzas.
I got a meal through mealpal here. Unfortunately they forgot to include my side item. Otherwise the sandwich I got was very delicious and the menu looks pretty good. I will be back to try thier full menu.
This place is much better on the inside than it looks on first glance from the outside. The food is anchored in pizza, with a really long list of shareable sides and salads. Oh, try The Hearst - as pizza goes it was great.
They do wonder a bit into craft cocktails. I think you are wiser drinking beer - but it seems everyone has to take their own twist on a Manhattan no a days.
Short answer - I would come back. Service was prompt, but not over attentive and certainly very friendly.
Great food. The pizzas are large enough to split between 3 or 4 people and the sandwiches come with plenty of meet. The presentation is fabulous too and the atmosphere is classy, but still comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Definitely a great place to visit if you are ever in San Francisco.
Great little bar with a good selection of beer and tasty sandwiches. The pizzas are by no means bad, but I think I prefer the sandwiches.
The pack the tables together so you'll be nice and cozy with your neighbors. If your planning in coming here to eat I'd make a reservation.
I liked the atmosphere and food at Archive. The pizza was delicious and the drinks served are quite good. The place has an intimate feel since its not that large and it can fill up with a large crowd quickly. The owners and bartenders are nice and keep the place lively. There's a couple of outdoor tables, but the real party is inside.
Cool bar right in the middle of the city. The DiMaggio pizza is a favorite and it's a decent size for two to three people. For lunch, the Pastrami and Peppers is a winner. The sandwich is huge and the pastrami is delicious with the kick from the peppers. They also have good beer and interesting cocktails. I tried the Watermelon Fog. It looked pretty with a white foam on top, but that foam was very salty/bitter? It wasn't my favorite, but the actual drink was good once you got past the foam.
The place gets really crowded after 5. If you want a table and not have to wait you're better off getting there at exactly 5 or coming in after the dinner rush.
I loved this place! I was here for lunch solo on a weekday and sat at the bar. The staff are very friendly, and the pizzas are delicious (the Hearst was amazing, but definitely big enough for 2 people!). There was outside seating but it was pretty full when I arrived at 1230 on a nice day during summer. I definitely recommend Archive.
Yum! Surprisingly good food for a random place I walked into.
Wednesday evening, around 8:30pm, two of us came here for a late dinner. We were seated immediately and given fantastic service. We ordered two different seasonal drinks, both of which hit the spot. We shared the butternut squash pizza - the squash was perfectly cooked, not too soggy, not raw. The goat cheese was creamy, the pine nuts crunchy, and the crust was soft but still crisp enough on the bottom to hold up.
I'd love to come another time and order some non pizza items!
