It's one of those special places where you can actually get real Mexican food legitimate Mexican food! The tastiest in the Mission District authentic in every which way you could hope! There is everything here to Delight the taste buds! Problem is you can't just eat and run you almost want to stay permanently! Their tacos are the best along with all the condiments whether you like it hot or Mild they have everything you could want to put on a taco! The staff is always very friendly and helpful! Can't wait to get back and it's of all places in the Mission District the heart of the Latino community!

Located in the middle of the food corridor, 24th Street, San Francisco. A taqueria offhand large selection of Mexican dishes, a large selection of vegetarian burritos and 4 kinds of aguas frescas. This Taqueria caters to hungry people from 10:00 and closes at 2:00 every day. On the menu you’ll find that they serve Pozole and Menudo every day, the Pozole I ordered was well done and it contained plenty of Pata (cow’s foot) with no hominy, the broth was a bit on the hot side with a nice red color. A special area dedicated to serve tacos only Mexico City style with several meat options to please everyone. A popular place to visit after night clubbing specially on the weekends.
So tasty! We got an assortment of tacos and all were delicious. I had a big horchata which I also loved. Not a taco expert but these sure taste like the ones we had in Mexico.
There’s outdoor seating option, inside has plenty of space too and it was relatively empty when we went I don’t know how. Honestly, great stuff.

Probably the best tacos and burritos you'll have in the Mission District. They are open late. You order at the counter and find a table which you have a choice of indoor or outdoor. They make the tacos right in front of you. $4 each. Burritos are huge! Next door there is an alley filled with the most incredible murals you have ever seen. This is not just a place to eat, it's an adventure.
A friend had recommended Taqueria Vallarta when I had been looking for a place to grab a late night snack after watching a show in downtown San Francisco. Ended up really loving the authentic taste and variety of available tacos, reasonably priced and open fairly late. This has become now my go to place after any shows or concerts in San Francisco. Really love their Al Pastor and Lengua.
Great tasting Tacos that remind me of the flavors of Mexico. The flavors of spices, citrus, herbs such as cilantro, tortilla maize. Essentially, the 4th of July of flavor in each Taco bite. Taqueria Vallarta is seriously pumping out Tacos in a unique manner. When you first enter Taqueria Vallarta, the Taco counter and the prep cook, stand alone and is ready for your order. In an interesting fashion, your Tacos are prepared while you wait and then directly handed to you. At this point you continue waiting in line with the tacos in your hand to pay the cashier. The amount of meat whether it be Pollo Asada, Carne Asada, or Birria is overflowing from the corn tortilla. The menu is vast with various types of ingredients to create a food bliss. I am very impressed because In the 30 minutes I spent for lunch at Vallarta, I observed at least 50 orders of tacos being served. What a unique old school Taqueria. I highly recommend a visit.
You know it'll be good when you order in Spanish and they take cash. I've tried a few spots but I think these are the BEST authentic beef tacos in the city - they melt in your mouth. Some options ran out, but not surprised since it's a popular taqueria. Decent prices, it's $4 for a taco.

It’s open late and self service. You order tacos first and then head to the counter for the payment. A bit confusing process but once you get it. It’s cool.
Legit fantastic tacos at reasonable prices in a no-frills, very colorful spot in the Mission. You know a taqueria is good when your selective Mexican friends have cravings for the food; Taqueria Vallarta has that kind of credibility. Favorites here are the lamb barbacoa, pork carnitas, beef suadero, and lengua tacos, and I am interested in trying the buche (pork neck), which you don't see in many places.
Great tacos as a way to cap off the trip in the Mission in SF! Great delivery, where the meat is cooked confit style, with a habenero sauce that provides an extra kick. Would definitely recommend !
