Traditional Korean Vegan. OMG!
This restaurant was introduced to us through Happy Cow, and we finally made it!
The options for vegetarians/vegans were countless! We finally found parking (as this may be the hard part), but it was well worth the circling around to arrive. There were 4 of us eating family style, and we each chose something from the menu.
We enjoyed:
- Sizzling Teriyaki Soy ‘Beef’ - $12.95 - Teriyaki marinated soy protein, organic tofu, carrot, mushroom, broccoli sautéed in teriyaki sauce.
- Chinese Broccoli Delight - $10.95 - Chinese Broccoli sautéed with teriyaki-marinated soy protein slices.
- Deluxe Vegetables - $10.95 - Seasonal vegetables, organic tofu, and shiitake mushroom wok-fried in house special sauce.
- Heavenly Salad - $8.95 - Organic tofu, carrot, cabbage, fresh herbs with light vinaigrette & crushed peanuts.
And, for dessert...
- Vegan Cheese Cake - $5.45
All of the selections were very fresh and delicious, but in hindsight, we may have chosen options that were a little more diverse. That just means that we will have to come back to try all of the other offerings!
And yes, we will definitely be back! Thank you!
Amazing! Got the lemongrass soy chicken and it was crispy and flavorful. Would definitely recommend. It's amazing to see a menu for vegetarians where everything looks delicious and fresh.
We went to Indochine for lunch and were really impressed. We got the Spring Rolls, Chow Mein, Sizzling Teriyaki Soy Beef, and the Shiitake Mushroom Sushi Rolls. The service was really fast and the food was all great - amazing portion sizes for the price. The only thing that we didn’t like was the sushi - would not recommend getting sushi from here but everything else was amazing. Will be back to try the other menu items!
Great food! The flavors were just plain amazing. We couldn't stop eating. Would highly recommend the spicy garlic green beans!
A small little vegetarian/vegan place on Valencia (SF). We ordered fried wonton (appetizer), Mongolian delight and teriyaki tofu for the main. There was only one server and she was running around serving all the people giving her 100%, kudos to her. We got the main course first, before the appetizer and that’s my only gripe. The food was very good but the portions are too large for us to finish so we ended up wasting a bit.
We ordered the spicy Tuna sushi and Vietnamese clay pot rice! So flavorful. The portion sizes and pricing are excellent. Definitely recommend this place :)
Food was delicious. Potstickers not so much.
I will admit. We got there at 9:15 and ate pretty quickly knowing that they closed at 10. At 9:35pm, they started shutting down the restaurant lights. It felt awkward finishing our meal.
Edit: Took my brother here again. All the things we tried this time were pretty average:
- sizzling teriyaki vegan "chicken"
- won ton noodle soup
A little better:
- chef's fried rice
- teriyaki vegan chicken with rice
- steamed pot stickers
Edit: Went here again and this time got the chance to try many other items. Almost everything was fantastic!
Highly Recommend:
- bin hue soup with the normal spice level isn't all that spicy, and superbly delicious!
- Fresh spring roll. We got this complimentary and it was such a fresh, clean appetizer with amazing peanut sauce on the side
- Spicy cha-cha roll. The filling tasted like an indian curry thrown over some sticky rice. Really enjoyed this unique tasting sushi
- Lemongrass vegan chicken. AMazingly good dish!
Overall such a wonderful food-gasmic experience! I just wish the entrees were served with complimentary rice. Please do go here and see how flavorful vegan food can be!!
Okayish:
- veg spring roll - nothing exceptional
- hot and sour soup - Not as flavorful as other dishes
- yellow curry - too much turmeric
So happy to see a vegan place. Very fast service. Reasonably priced too.
- The yogurt shoyu was a wonderful drink.
- In food, chow mein and bin hue noodle soup were both delightful. The non spicy version of the latter is utterly bland though, but once we added some soy sauce, salt and chili paste it became perfect.
The place was empty at 7 pm on a Wednesday night. But strange for a neighborhood with so much foot traffic. However, I was glad I stopped for dinner. The caterpillar sushi was delightful as was the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. Very quick and efficient service.
Great food. Good ambience. Really awesome staff. We ordered spring rolls, sushi, crispy noodles, Korean fried rice and Thai iced tea.
High quality and it’s very clear that this restaurant uses fresh ingredients. The food also feels clean and not very heavy. Huge portions, and friendly staff! I’ll come back :)
I ordered a mango salad and a veggie beef curry both recommended by the staff. Can’t wait to try more items when I return!!
Everything on the menu looked super delicious, it was so hard for me to choose what I wanted! I ended up getting the lemongrass tofu with white rice and it was very good and they made it very quickly! I definitely want to return to try more items off their menu
