By far this is the best butcher shop in San Francisco. The guys have a wide variety of beef, chicken, lamb, pork along with some nice fish selections. The deli has some great selections for a sandwich on the run. Special orders are accepted as well as this is the place to go in San Francisco thanksgiving turkey or easter ham.

this is a picture from the 22nd and Taraval Market - our corner store for years. even though I no longer live in SF, I am there often and just about always stop by Guerra's at 15th Ave for petrale sole and lamb chops - best!!!!
Tried a few butcher shops in San Francisco; folks here at Guerra are extremely knowledgeable and always helping customers to pick the best cut they want.
Always give customers cookies, roasting, … instructions and their store is very clean and neat.
No need to mention about the quality and f their products 💯
Yesterday I happened upon Guerra, and I am overwhelmed by what a great shop this is! It's like being in a traditional market in Italy. They make all the pastas, risottos and sauces, etc ON SITE. The meat and fish selection is BEAUTIFUL. The prices are VERY REASONABLE. The guys behind the counter speak Italian to each other, so I practiced my Italian with them. Don't miss out on this great butcher and grocery stop when you are in the Sunset District.

Excellent quality meats, seafood and produce along with some delicious meats and cheeses. The people who work there are friendly, very professional and happy to cater to special requests if you give them some notice.
You can find all manner of other things you might need to cook dinner like pasta, dried porcini, various frozen stocks or soups and even delicious cooked meals and wine.
Nicest people you'll meet, and absolutely fantastic fare. I am particular fan of the marinated great beans, and the amazing sandwiches.

Wonderful service, meats are very clean and high quality. They also sell breads and wines to complete your meal. The people behind the counters know everything about their cuts so don't hesitate to ask for cooking recommendations and where they're sourced from. The prices are just right for the quality and service; they're actually slightly less expensive than from a grocery store like Safeway. When you decide to treat yourself to an expertly trimmed piece of meat, consider getting it from Guerra Quality Meats.

The best full service butcher/meat market in San Francisco. Not to mention all of the homemade items and imported Italian goods. Staff is super friendly and helpful! I've been a happy customer for over 30 years.
