It was our first time visiting, and at the end of our meal we both thought we would definitely return. The sushi was delicious and fresh. The setting was intimate and the service was excellent. I liked how they took the time to let you know exactly what fish was being served to you and whether or not to use soy sauce. The highlight of the meal for me was the A5 Wagyu nigiri. We also really enjoyed our sake, which was the summer seasonal sake.

I came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. She had Nirigi Omakase and I had Chef's Omakase. It's only 10 bucks difference. Nirigi Omakase included uni. Chef included strawberry mochi but no uni. The sashimi of fish was fresh and soft. It could melt in your mouth. Toro is my fav. I also ordered wagyu and unagi. Of course, the wagyu beef was tasty, which I prefer to eat it last, so the taste could last longer in your mouth. I love unagi, so it was a must to order. This place was the third restaurant where I could truly have fresh eel. It was so good and I wish I had ordered one more. Very high quality of sashimi. Excellent services. Everything was good, except one point. The suggested tips included taxes. Basically you pay tips for taxes if you go with their suggestion tips. That needs to be changed. Anyways I would come back for more. Thank you.

Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. Usually skeptical of omakase but it delivered x100

A culinary experience for those who want to experience a traditional Japanese sushi meal. Chef's choice meal is a way to go. We were at the bar table, with head chef prepping and explaining each portion! All fish is expertly and seasonally sourced from Tokyo market and locally. They also provide real wasabi that everyone needs to try to know what real one taste like.

Price quality ratio is unbeatable. Pretty easy to make last minute reservations. I was able to get a seat for 2 at the sushi bar a day before. The chef is really acccomodating to what you want to eat and i saw him tailor the omakase for others who had a lot of restrictions. It’s not your blow your mind out of this world Michelin Star type omakase. But it’s a place you can go often without breaking the bank and the quality is good. They have really good quality and great service. One complaint is my friend that I went with, in one of his nigiri, the fish still had two small bones. I hate it when that happens. :( Will be back though, one small mistake doesn’t stray me away from all the really good food that we had.

An's is always a great place to visit when you have the chance. The place has a cozy and comforting design while having amazing food. Although I don't visit it often, each and every time I go the quality and variety of the food always surprises me in the best ways possible.

Was looking for a very nice place for dinner around 8:30pm in Japan Town. Several places were closed, of those open the were either fully booked or were touristy. We found this spot on Yelp and just went. They had availability and we did the chefs omakase. The experience was excellent and it really hit the spot. The place is very small with seating for around 12. If you sit at the bar you get to see the chef work. It felt very personal and we really enjoyed it.

Had my first omakase experience here and was very blown away. The food and service were both amazing, and at an amazing price for SF Omakase. You can tell the chef and wife are both very passionate about what they do - I think they’re husband and wife. The waitress explains every course to you and they come relatively quickly. If you get different omakase options, they find a way to align them. Sometimes you can end up sharing a dish with others at the table if yours has more. Also, their pickled ginger is the best I’ve had - very flavourful! Highly recommended!

Chef's Omakase was great. The starter course was my favorite (love the sweet shrimp and soy jelly!). Also... crunchy, grated wasabi!

Delicious sushi! Very high quality fresh fish and friendly staff. By far the best japanese restaurant in town.
