At first I didn't know what this cafe was; it's so minimal and clean and simple inside. The pedigree of the ingredients is proudly displayed on the wall and they do indeed add up to an incredible French dip sandwich. The sauce was so flavorful that I wish I had some extra bread to finish it.
Very small and minimalistic place. The prices are all on a board. Didn’t know what to order so I asked the cashier and I got the pork sandwich. Took a little to make but the aesthetics are nice. It was around $15. Sandwich was tasty but the clean up is a bit of a pain.
The (pork, beef, lamb, chicken, porchetta) sandwiches are good. But the beef Bourguignon + potato gratin are even better. They use good ingredients, e.g. Acme bread.
Excellent chicken and pork sandwiches. Definitely use the au jus dipping sauce. Our dog literally drags us there for lunch for the smells and they are super nice about providing him some meat for the business referral. :)
Awesome service. Everything is so clean and the hostess was so helpful helping us choose what to order. The sandwiches were amazing. The au jus was steaming and full of flavor. Great place for hearty eats after the bars.
Good food Amy's great sides. Sandwiches though I might give the customer the option of adding cheese very friendly and nice customer service
Wow, the porchetta sandwich was excellent. My friend had chicken sandwich, she loved it as well. The bread is great. What a gem, this place! This is the first 5 star I am giving to any place in SF, I believe, as a local.
Average size deli that specializes in french dip sandwiches. It's tucked away on narrow Grant Ave, but within steps of main street Columbus Ave. There's no fluorescent balloon and neon lights as the evening progresses. I've been waiting eagerly along with Le Chaat Bakery (defunct now). Workers are friendly with experience from another local eatery nearby (not to be name). No frills about anything here. Just look up menu and order. My lamb leg sando was amazing with meat not dry out like eraser on a #2 pencil. Local artisan rolls with a cup of meat juice brings out the exceptional flavors most definitely.
Great dips - among our large party we had beef, lamb, pastrami, and porchetta. All were delicious. Good crusty bread too. Gratin potatoes were good, as was the eggplant parmesan. Kale was so so
I wish I could give them 100 stars! The staff is so amazingly nice and the food matched!!!!
