This place looks awesome. Chris and Leah are the best, THE BEST at customer service. Everyone I've introduce this place to, love it. There is plenty of wine selections, and they serve great appetizers. This place is the spot if you want some relaxation and be able to talk to your friends, the music is at a good volume and there is a projection on the wall of good movies that you can entertain yourself with. The lighting is perfect, the ambience is perfect, the vibe is perfect. Nectar thank you for existing.
This was such a nice surprise. We absolutely loved everything we had. The wine flights were wonderful. The truffle Mac was light fluffy and delicious. We loved our cheese plate. I highly recommend it to anyone!!
The service was great. The only down was the music is loud and it's hard to hear each other.
AMAZING wine bar! Can't say enough great things. The atmosphere is modern with a cozy feel and the service is fantastic! Our bartender was so nice and attentive even with us being at one of the off to the side small ledge bar areas. My boyfriend and I came directly from the Giants game and we're hoping to get a nice glass of wine and one of the desserts before walking home. We thought since it was later in the evening and no one else was eating, the kitchen was closed. However, our sweet tooth got the best of us and we had to ask. The gentleman didn't even hesitate and said he would absolutely check for us. Long story shorter, we ended up enjoying a delicious dessert, fabulous wine and unbelievable service! Nectar is a 10 min walk from my apartment and I will definitely be back on a regular basis. :)
We chose Leah and Chris’ beautiful wine bar to host our small (~60 people) wedding reception and we’re so glad we did. Leah’s attention to detail is spot on. She is driven and on top of things. There’s need no need worry about things going wrong in her hands. They printed the wine & beer menu and set up a beautiful ambiance. Plus their truffle popcorn is amazing. They allowed us to bring small decor items (the space is charming as is), which they used to make the space extra special for us. They held our cake in their wine cellar and cut it for us for a modest fee per slice. They moved the furniture so we could have a small dance floor at the front. Acted as our DJs by lowering and turning up the music when appropriate. We met a week before the reception to taste the wines we wanted to serve (the fun part). The day of, they were so kind, helpful, accommodating, and brought a positive energy to the party. Everyone loved them. They are reasonable, work with your budget, and are open and transparent. Leah and Chris are a wonderful couple and I wish them only the best in their business. Thank you for helping us make one of the happiest days of our lives so seamless and fun. If you haven’t thought about having a unique nontraditional SF wedding, consider Nectar Wine Bar. It was one of the best decisions we made.
I recently took an out of town guest here for wine and appetizers and had a fabulous experience! The bartender was more knowledgeable about wine than we had expected and even helped us create our own flights instead of ordering the ones listed in the menu. The prices are a bit on the high side but they do have some great happy hour deals for those that are trying to minimize their bill.
The owners are very patient, helpful and knowledgeable. They specialize in wines from underappreciated regions in Spain, France, Italy and Germany. I always look forward to trying something new and unexpected. The prices are generally very fair and are reduced even further during happy hour. Very unpretentious.
Super cute wine bar in the marina with a wonderful wine list and some great little tasty snacks. You can get a flight which is always fun. The truffle popcorn is a great snack to accompany your wine. And the service is always friendly.
Cute little wine bar, with a great menu of wines and bites. The bartender seemed pretty knowledgeable about the menu, and recommended a great cabernet sauvignon for us. The prosciutto burrata flatbread was also really delicious and fresh.
I would definitely go back, especially for their happy hour on the weekdays.
I'm a sucker for art. Simplicity is bliss. As for the service? I had nothing but Excellency from this venue. I believe it was the owner who seviced us in between but his knowledge of wines and allowance of taste testing was greatly appreciated. Overall the staff is friendly. I'd suggest their Saracco moscato if you need a little sweetness in your life. It's the best moscato I've ever had!
Great experience! Decent wine (get the flights), great truffle popcorn and salmon flatbreads and the on-going classics on the wall are a nice touch :)
Limited seating is the only thing to watch out for.
