I had the tea for one with the Marie Antoinette black tea. Everything was excellent. I also appreciate that there was lemon curd, clotted cream, and preserves. The attention to detail is so adorable from the tea pots to the dishware to the presentation. The place was a bit warm (AC would help) but it did not prevent me from enjoying my time. It’s in the lobby of the building but I think it’s quirky. Lastly, there’s a cute place for you to take pictures so for group pictures it’s spot on!

Came here with my boyfriend and had a wonderful time. They helped accommodate our vegetarian preferences and I really enjoyed the tea & experience as my first high/fancy tea! I wished it was more decked out in decor with rugs/paintings, though the spot is sort of inside a multi-story shopping building so I understand. Would highly recommend making reservations ahead of time; you can try walk-ins but it’s really easy to make a reservation online.

Food was super yummy (a bit pricey but you get a lot of stuff)! The atmosphere was super cute. I went for my birthday and you guys OUR WAITER SANG TO ME. 🥰 it was just the waiter and my bf singing to me and he brought me a cupcake with a candle after we finished eating. So freaking cute. 😍

This was my first time going there with my friend and wow what a pleasant experience! Abby was our server and she was absolutely wonderful. She was super attentive, kind and was fun to chat with. We ended up splitting our afternoon tea for one and then ordered another plate of sandwiches. The amount of food we got was more than enough for both of us and I was pretty satisfied afterwards. I'm autistic and have sensory issues, so I'm picky with the kinds of food I eat. Abby was wonderfully accommodating and offered up several options when it came to the tea and food that was on offer. Ross oversaw the food and did the finishing touches and everything looked and tasted amazing! Overall a fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back to reserve another afternoon tea the next time I visit. Kudos to both Ross and Abby for doing such a great job :)

Fantastic service and amazing treats! I can't count how many times I have been here!! The owner is also very humble and polite. I came here when I first moved to California. She sat down with us and gave me some of the best advice about living in the Bay Area. I didn’t really know anyone here so I was very thankful for her advice and her time.

This was such a wonderful experience! Went with a friend of mine and was thoroughly impressed by the service and the cheerful staff. The tea was the standout for sure. They used such rich flavors and it took all my willpower not to slurp it down immediately! The food was also very good and I felt like for the portion sizes, the price was fine. If you would like to go, definitely set up a reservation in advance, especially if you want to visit on the weekends!

One of the best value afternoon tea experiences you'll find in the city, though I personally was not wowed by the food. They are able to accommodate gluten free and dairy free (though some of their offerings do have baked in butter). They try to double you up on sweets if they can't make a certain item gluten free or dairy free though my gluten free friend did seem to have less food than me and my other friend. Unfortunately all 3 of our teas had tea leaves when we poured them into our cups, which is something I've rarely seen before at these kinds of establishments. No outdoor seating, but they have high ceilings and try to seat guests further apart. Nice touch with the London memorabilia on the table. Service was excellent and staff were very polite.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience as participants of a large group of 16 people. Crown & Crumpet expertly served each and everyone of us with their amazing teas sandwiches and fabulous sweets. The owners and staff were exceptionally warm and inclusive. A place where everyone is welcome to just be "you". Looking forward to returning soon.

A semi-hidden High Tea delight in the middle of San Francisco. The food is quite filling and really good. The crumpets are real, not replaced with some fancy toast. Their crumpets taste like the ones that have to be kept in refrigeration (top quality) prior to serving. The blueberry scones were devine! A puffy chicken pot pie! Wow! I had a great experience. For me, the thorough theme of the restaurant and ambiance was the distraction I needed. Dare not feel those good childhood memories before taking that first sip of tea.

My partner and I had a wonderful afternoon tea here. This is a small cafe with a bunch of charming decorative touches - we were delighted by the small Alice-in-Wonderland-style door under the main counter. The tea and food are both excellent. We got the Private Blend and the Peach Crumpet tea. The Private Blend was a good, solid black tea, and the Peach Crumpet smelled and tasted strongly of peaches, which was lovely. Food-wise, the scone and the sweets were amazing; it's hard to say which was my favorite, but maybe the slice of mousse cake, which was light, soft, and just a touch tart. The finger sandwiches were well-done but unexciting. A couple tips: definitely get a reservation. We saw a family being turned away when we arrived a little after 3pm on Saturday. And arrive early enough to find a place to park. The Japantown garage was completely full when we went, and we had to circle for 10+ minutes for street parking.
