Awesome food, great sake and very comfy environment. Went with some friends and we were able to easily book a table to the same night. Highly recommend the boiled egg with pumpkin and the breaded octopus balls.

I normally don't like every dish we ordered But everything was maxed great! Is that bad English LOL. It was so delicious! Like how can they make the peppers so good! The beef was WOW. I could eat 10 more orders of it. You must try everything on menu hahaha We loved everything. Ate every bite. Service was impeccable! Nice ambiance Clean bathrooms Only streets parking

Had the Chilean sea bass and the takoyaki. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Would recommend coming in once the grill gets going, as the smell of detergent was strong coming in at 5pm. Recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.

Another Korean-run Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. Like the namesake suggests, the menu here is almost entirely meant to be eaten with drinks. Food is average across the board with no real standouts. Service is good. There's loud music and it gets crowded easily on the weekends. Surprisingly expensive. I would visit more often if the prices were more competitive.

Wow that fish was fresh! The sashimi platter was an excellent mix of very well cut fresh fish and cool presentation. Then came the Chilean sea bass, oh my, that just kinda melted in my mouth. Definitely will return when I want more of an authentic Japanese experience.

Came with a friend a few minutes after they opened. Got seated at a table to the left of the reception. If you get seated here, I would recommend asking to sit at the bar or further away. Every time someone walked in, I felt the draft from outside hit my back. Not particularly pleasant during dinner. Ordered a fairly standard of assortment for dinner. Safe bets are the chicken tsukune, salmon sashimi, and hotate scallops. The scallops come on a shell that is heated so it stays hot as you eat it. The agedashi tofu was the only disappointing dish of the night. It lacked a fulfilling crunch into silky soft tofu. The soy sauce blend does add to the flavor, but the texture took away from the dish. The miso black cod is a must-order. Deeply savory flakes of cod that fall apart at the chopsticks with miso-marinade infused into the flesh. The plating can be a bit excessive though. The hamachi carpaccio and onsen tamago come highly recommended. Both sit on a pond of a tart and savory sauce that are a delight in the tongue and, without a palate cleanser, dull each other's flavors. The pumpkin croquette was an interesting dish. Savory, but also notably sweet. Almost like a middle-dish between entree and dessert. I'm still not 100% sure whether I could recommend it or not, but it certainly wasn't unappetizing.

The interior is like Japanese izakaya and there are even wooden booths. The food is actually very good -- definitely a cut above your usual San Francisco looks better than it is stuff. The beef kushiyaki was stupidly good, idk what they did to it.

Service was good even though the place was busy, ambiance is nice, there are cool rooms on the sides for groups, better boo them in advance though. The food. Looked amazing, executed well. Overall really enjoyed our meal, well worth a visit.

Fun dinner spot for drinks and some less than traditional Japanese dishes. Go with a group of friends or take your date there. Good sake selection! 🍶

Great location in Fillmore, parking across the street at the Japantown shopping center. Great food - the scallops with the fire was my favorite. Really good service as well. If you get one of the booths, there's a button you press when you want service.
