We were the only customers in the restaurant. I don't understand why. Food was excellent and service was perfect. They have thin-crust pizza and also deep pizza, which is not very common. Good wings as well
This was the first time I ate deep dish and I was impressed on how good it was! The crust of the pizza is the best part! Huge portions so that means you'll have the best leftovers ever for next day!
My the only love when it goes about dip dish❤️🔥Adore their house “Little Star” with mushrooms and crazy delicious sauce with on feta and spinach #2 in my list is classic. Still didn’t give a chance to thin crust… just because dip dish is too addictive. My husband always takes Vegetarian and can’t stop until the last bite is gone!
This place is a local favorite and rightly so! I really enjoyed their deep dish pizza (although I went way beyond my calorie limit) and have only good things to say about it.
We got half and half - one half of the pizza was the little star original (stuffed with mushrooms and a few other veggies with a strong garlic under taste). The other half was their veggie offering which was my favorite - it had zucchini, mushrooms and a bunch of other vegetables which all complimented each other. Each slice was quite huge and one can be pretty full with two slices. The crust I assume was cornbread and was super delicious. The honey added a nice touch to it.
We got a Mexican coke as well which complimented the pizza nicely.
The space is nicely done although there weren’t too many people dining indoors. The service was excellent but it does take around 20-30 minutes to prepare deep dish pizzas. So be ready.
Bathrooms were clean.
First time order was pickup, so I will give the benefit of the doubt with an extra star on what I considered a three star pizza. I did a BYO pizza with vegan cheese, spinach, artichokes, and pepperoncini. I have mixed feelings about the portions: generous serving of artichokes (yay) and vegan cheese (maybe not so yay), a little slim on the spinach, and no pepperoncini in sight -- at $2 a topping for a 9" pizza, I am counting every pickled pepper. I forgot cash to tip, so I will consider it collateral.
The crust was a miss for me, as I couldn't tell if the goal was thin-and-crispy or thin-and-chewy and it ultimately was thin-and-tough. Understandably, deep dish is their specialty, but sadly, that is not an option for vegans. The true star of the show was the sauce. I wish I asked for extra, as the flavor was muted with the heaps of cheeze. Although I'm appreciative of the generosity, a more balanced pie would have solidified my rating.
Staff was accommodating over the phone when I made an error on ordering the cheese and service was polite and brief upon pickup. I will return for a dine-in redemption round.
The seating is easily available here and they have lot of variety of pizzas. We ordered half and half one veg and other was chicken. Really liked them and flavours were amazing.
One of the best pizza crusts in SF - you never feel too heavy after having their pizza. And I’ve always seen the freshest of toppings and ingredients.
My go-to for every time I order at home.
Just a caution - it takes ~45 minutes to prepare a deep-dish pizza (probably that’s why they are one of the best)!
I recommend:
- Old School Deep Dish Pizza
- All Star Deep Dish Pizza (this one being all-meaty, try adding additional toppings: Onions, Jalapeños)
- Never forget Spicy Baked Wings on the side!
Best deep dish in San Francisco. Unique cornmeal crust makes this pizza stand out. Definitely a must visit for Chicago style fans.
Fresh and delicious pizza options to choose from. Ordered multiple times through the delivery app and never had any problem. White Pie pizza is amazing. Great local favorite, the quality of the food really shows. I highly recommend it.
Excellent place. The best deep dish in California. Dining in is the way to do it and it helps the restaurant stay open and alive. Bring your friends and order two pizza
