Our Dining experience was excellent overall. Food was delicious. Staff was very attentive & friendly. The waitress spoke Spanish like myself. I highly recommend. The best Persian Restaurant in San Jose & SF so far for me!

Just down on Green street walking around looking at things with my pal Sheeran and his associates lil thumper and big bang when all the sudden Sheeran tells me how they cook lamb in his home town. In a deep hole in the ground he tells me, and they'll cook 4 to 6 whole lambs at a time for 6 hours. It's a celebration they have every 4 months, and the entire extended family is there, then he says let's go to the Maykadeh Restaurant and see how good the lamb is, you made me hungry.

One of the best Persian restaurants I have ever been to. The place has an old vibe, which was nicely decorated with candle light and roses. But the tables are too close to each other. The server lady was not too sweet, rather was in a hurry. The complementary pita breads with salad and butter was too good. I ordered a Babaganoush ( spelling right?) which was served cold and very aromatic and flavorful. I was actually full after eating all these! Then my main entree arrived. It was a chicken chello kebab. The portion size was too large for me. In fact two people can easily share. The saffron infused buttered rice was very aromatic. And the juicy kebabs were unearthly. I never expected such a soft piece of chicken ( it was actually ground chicken I guess). The food was very nice. I had to take the remaining portion as a togo. The lady asked me if I need any dessert or wine. She was not very happy to find that I was not ordering anything like that. It was not too pricy if you compare the portion size and the quality. However I think they need to be little more hospitable ( with a smiling face) from their side.

One of the best Persian restaurants you will eat at - guaranteed. I have gone to this place several times over the past few years and have had a fantastic meal every time. My experience earlier this week was slightly lower than the awesome standard I have come to expect but a fantastic dining experience nevertheless. I had their beef and lamb koobideh. Try one bite and you will know why it is a few notches above the koobideh anywhere else. The secret - although they advertise it clearly on their menu 😀 - is that it is made from premium ingredients — Angus beef and lamb shoulder minced and mixed. Highly recommended.

The taste of their food is fantastic! The broiled brain in saffron’s sauce was something heavenly delicious, absolutely recommended to anyone who likes lamb’s brain; also, the lamb shank was prepared with a good amount of patience; it just melts in your mouth, and baghala polo was cooked just right not too stiff not too soft making it not only gorgeous but tasty too. The saffron ice cream with cream chips and pistachio, which was precisely the way traditionally made in Iran, was nicely made! Thanks to the chef or chefs, I enjoyed everything, and I highly recommend this restaurant. They may need to improve their service; otherwise, the ambiance is also lovely, with light Persian music in the background.

A very good restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, I ordered Kebab Soltani, and my father had Qorme Sabzi, my mother had chicken and buttermilk, and my brother had it, everything was great, it reminded me of the delicious foods of Isfahan, my memories of Isfahan came alive, I missed Isfahan very much. And this place reminded me of Isfahan. The service was excellent, everything was fine, thank you

The best Kabob Koobideh that you can eat anywhere in NA and even Tehran. I've been coming here for 12 years, and they consistently delivered high-quality food and service. Highly recommended!

I was on holiday visiting SF, and Maykadeh happened to be near where I was staying…I almost ended up there every night. Since I have left Iran I haven’t had authentic iranian food as good as this. Top quality ingredients, I almost tried the whole menu and my favourite is the lamb chops. Also very polite and kind staff, they will make you feel welcome and comfortable.

The food here is really good. Love the taste and texture. Have had everything on their menu I think, and I was never disappointed by the food. Kabobs are marinated well, with side of veggies. Kash-e-badmjan is not too oily, neither dry. Just the right amount of oil, herbs, and kashk. The doogh (Persian yogurt drink) is not watery. I personally am not the biggest fan of homemade doogh, but I don’t mind drinking it here, cuz it has unique taste. The only thing is that I don’t live in the city, and usually go here on a Friday or Saturday night. Their Baghali polo is only served on Sundays, and I never had the chance to try it. Hopefully they change it to Saturday one day so I could finally taste that dish too. Overall I do recommend you to check out this restaurant!

Visited with a few friends from college and had an incredible time! This was my first experience with Persian food and it was amazing. The food was delicious starting with the baba ghanoush and hummus appetizers. After the appetizers, we had a delicious array of meats, including the scrumptious lamb chops, that I could not get enough of! Highly recommend for some incredible Persian food in San Francisco.

Dishes are fantastic. I forgot to take pics. I ordered the barley and vegetable soup, and it was so much better, creamy, warm, delicious joy in a bowl.
