Dinner tonight was the highlight of our 2 days in SF so far! I had seen this entry on Yelp! and decided to book on OpenTable since it was close to our hotel. I did not see the menu, and then had difficulty locating the restaurant when we went to find it. When my wife and daughter and I arrived, I was certain the menu could not accommodate our dietary restrictions (no pork or shellfish), let my family know we were going to try some place else, and let the restaurant know we were going to release our reservation. While we proceeded to look for another venue on Yelp!, Pim came out herself and asked if they had done anything wrong. She was totally disarming, took us through the menu and offered to accommodate changes if needed. Our meal was superb. The waitstaff supported us all the way through...including to dessert, which we TOTALLY were not going to eat, however by that point we just HAD to cap the meal with the black rice pudding. For three of us, we ordered 1 entree and three other plates. Mushroom Hor Mok was out of this world! My wife especially enjoyed the Yum Yai salad, which was done without the shrimp paste for us, and the Nam Tok beans were unbelievable--WHO can make lima beans taste like that? The Kaho Soi Tofu was also very good--the scallions, onions and chile brought extra spice to a dish that was already perfectly flavorful. Prices for food really were not at all extravagant for San Francisco standards. We paid less for dinner at Kin Khao tonight than we paid for breakfast. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Pim is a jewel and her chef and waitstaff clearly work to serve.

Tasting menu - accommodated my friend’s seafood dislike - still fabulous. Everything was great.

$90 pp meal, and it blew me away. The mushroom curry was so flavorful. I also enjoyed the Tom Yum cocktail (like a gimlet) and the spicy beans. Everything was good and exceeded expectations. Fantastic service; they accommodated my partner’s shellfish allergy. The vibe is low key with minimal decor. We walked in on a Thursday night with no reservation and waited about 10-15 mins.

I stumbled onto this place because I was hungry and the restaurants I wanted 2 try had long wait lines. I'm happy I found it. I have no issues. It's not special but it has the feel of a 2nd rate restaurant that has been in the family for decades. The menu looks familiar so it was easy to order.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I was surprised this place had so many sub-5 star reviews, so I had to do something about it. If you're the type to read reviews, you'll know that a lot of ppl talk about the mushroom, the pork belly, and the beef tongue. No one really mentions the squash, which I felt was a hugely underrated dish, and the squid was also pretty nice. A critic might call the squash dish "extremely balanced". But I'm not a critic, so idk what I'm talking about. A bit of context: I had an 8:45pm reservation and was the last person to leave the restaurant at around 10:30pm. Sometimes I did have a bunch of plates on my table due to me not eating as fast as the chefs were cooking, but I think the staff were just trying to keep up with all the tables. I don't hold that against them, but some of the other reviewers do. Anyway, prix fixe was like 95$. You can pack up all your leftovers before they bring you dessert. If it's too much or too rich just save it for lunch tomorrow. I'm not a photographer, so the best photo I have is that squash salad, which I've added below. You can't really see the squash, but it's in there

A very down to earth Michelin, there’s a set menu but you can also order a La cart. My highlights: Caramelized pork belly: this is so so good, it’s so soft the fat part melts in my mouth, and the meat part is also very tender. The dish tastes sweet and mixes super well with sticky rice. Bok choy: I really liked the bok choy, surprisingly. It’s very rich of taste, and the bok choy is very fresh and juicy. The other two are friend’s rec but tastes okay for me. Pretty hot wings is PRETTY HOT so order at discretion. The store itself is pretty cute, but the bathroom is a little far away in the hotel lobby. We had to wait quite often for our server.

Normally we don’t go to hotel restaurants for lunch but this IS a Michelin star Thai restaurant. We ordered their pretty hot wings (3pc) and the five-spice duck noodle soup. The “pretty hot wings” were marinaded well but they were only hot in temperature. The duck noodle soup left much to be desired. The broth didn’t feel rich and flavorful. The amount of noodles wasn’t enough. The duck, on the other hand, was good though. Overall, we can’t say the food was terrible but it wasn’t quite enough for the full 5 stars. Maybe I’ll change my mind once we come back for dinner.

Summary: go at least once, order at least the yaowaraj noodle and the massaman nuea, don’t get more food even if recommended (waiter will tell you you need more), you will be so full you won’t be able to eat it (assuming you are two people) haha I’ll kick it off by saying the food is really good but not life changing great. The pork belly was a little dry in my opinion and even though I recommend the noodles the chicken seasoning was a little too salty (I still ate the entire thing and would come back just for those). The price for me goes to the massaman nuea, it was so good, the meat basically crumbled by itself.

Terrific thai food with tons of interesting flavors and huge portions. Michelin food and very affordable non-Michelin prices. Nam Tok Beans and Caramelized pork belly were favorites. Sat at bar and ordered tasting menu. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Was visiting SF for work, and a few coworkers and I decided to check this place out! Our server, Will, was super attentive and helpful in answering our questions. We ordered: 1 Cha Yen 1 Blue Flower Limeade 1 Tom Yum 2.0 1 Lanna 1 Khao Kan Jin - this was blood sausage and I' be honest didn't look or sound good. BUT we were so grateful Will suggested we try it because it was so good, and unlike anything I've ever tasted before. 1 Pretty Hot Wings - the flavor was absolutely mout watering 1 Yawarai Noodle - Chicken, was by far my favorite dish of the night! That flavor I could (happily) eat daily. 1 Caramelized Pork Belly - shockingly I'm not a huge fan of pork belly, and this one changed my mind. Wow! 1 lasmine Rice 1 Baby Bok Choy 1 XO Brussel Sprouts 1 Coffee Panna Cotta Can't wait to come back!

We walked in at 5.45pm (they open at 5.30pm) and were seated within minutes at the communal table. The bar was also available. The service was quick, food flavorful. They recently got a Michelin star. Highly recommend the vegetarian curry with mushroom.

We Really enjoyed our meals especially the squeed dish. It was very flavorful. I loved the drunken noodles dish a lot too. The dishes are great for family style dining. We were able get to in without the reservation on Saturday but we got lucky. I recommend too book ahead of time.
