The food is out of this world! Always fresh ingredients and wonderful new things on the menu...Second to none. The staff is personable, professional and make it a fun experience. My favorite place!!!
Everything was delicious! From the Fried Petrale Sole starter to the Insalata Tricolore salad followed by two amazing pizzas. Service was outstanding as well! Everyone was helpful.
Brought the baby with a stroller. Small place and we were happily accommodated... Stroller put in the back.
Would recommend it for lunch to anyone who is around the Fillmore Steet shopping area.
Hands down the best Italian restaurant in town! The service is really good. They have each staff taking care per tables, foods ordered came out fast, wine was amazing. You should check it out when you’re in SF!
What can I say! Jess is a rockstar & I had a great restaurant experience.
She knew everything from processes to ingredients & helped me order a handful of spectacular dishes and a great bottle of wine.
Everything was out of this world, from the staff, the food, the ambience & even the people sitting around me were incredibly friendly.
Thanks again for having me
Get the buttermilk panna cotta. Oh my god. I review a lot of desserts on here and like, this is a top notch dessert. They only have two desserts on their menu, but now I'm really curious about that tiramisu. The panna cotta was so perfectly balanced, tangy, perfect texture, and just the right touch of passionfruit. I saw the thyme on top and I wasn't sure I'd love that raw, but boy was I wrong. I heard mf angels singing. Pizza-wise, I got the 4 Formaggi and my partner got the Margherita and as you can see they're both pretty big. We thought they'd be smaller, more individual pizzas. My pizza was good - out of this world crust! - but I wish I'd added stuff, I'm used to smellier and sharper cheese on my multi-cheese cheese pizza. This was more subtle but still a whole lot of flavor. LOADED WITH CHEESE. The Insalata Tricilore was pretty good. Nice dressing, with the grana padano was one of the most flavorful bites of the meal (the most flavorful was the panna cotta).
Excellent pizza place with a large variety. I went with a large group and we ordered a number of them. The Panna and Margherita pizza were delicious. The pizzas with the eggs were interesting and delicious. The star of the show was the “cheese balls” appetizer though, and I feel like I can eat 20 of them. Good desserts too!
This place is small, so not ideal for large groups. This place is open all day unlike the place next door which is only open for dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, making it great to go out with friends or on a chill date.
Limited menu but very delicious thin crust pizzeria. Ingredients seemed / tasted high quality. Service was Ok but there were only two of them and it was quite busy.
It was my first time so I can't say I've tasted a decent portion of the menu. That being said, the meatball dish and all the pizzas we're good.
They have a gluten free option for the pie crusts.
Delfina doesn't disappoint. Their home baked bread is a home run and it's an entire loaf which can feed you for the coming days. I was a bit sad to see the pizza options reduced to two pies only. Staff is friendly and on their toes , the cocktail bar is staffed from here to Rome and back and their wine selection doesn't disappoint. You combine that with a cross section of good Italian food ... enjoy
In 2008 after returning from a trip to Italy for the first time just as it is in 2023 after trying 85 Pizza Establishments in San Francisco since May 2022 alone, Pizzeria Delfina Mission Location remains the Image of Pizza Perfected. Simple as that.
The pizzeria was under construction when I visited recently, which was not a problem, there’s outdoor seating with heat lamps and even on a rainy weekend it was cozy.
It’s a pizzeria but there was a limited menu of three to choose from - guess they’re making changes to the menu?
We ordered the focaccia as it was recommended as a new item, however if you do order JUST the focaccia it can be a bit dry, doesn’t come with olive oil or anything. You have to order the ricotta or prosciutto appetizer that comes with them focaccia.
We had the Paccheri was a seafood pasta that was brightly flavored and a bit sweet from the seafood.
Also tried the filetti pizza which was delightful. The cheese was melted perfectly and the pops of cherry tomato kept it fresh. The crush of the pizza was also cooked to perfection.
Best Panna Cotta my wife ever had; amazing, light, fresh and perfectly sweet.
We had my wife's birthday there for a group of 15. The food was great, the service outstanding (Kira was our server and the rest of the staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming) and the general vibe was on! Highly recommend!
