I like this place. They have a great house ceviche. Prices are good and they've always taken good care of me. I visit San Diego as part of TMS so we're out here every few years and I make this place a routine stop.
Amazing margaritas & authentic Mexican food. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Try the surf & turf tacos and the mermaid margarita. Highly recommended!
Cool atmosphere and design, great cocktails, great prices on food. Recommend the tacos! Seafood tacos off all varieties and they are amazing! We are from St Louis and we're trying places we couldn't get at home.... But this place was so good we went twice!
Great strong cocktails and a super friendly bar man in this bar. It's a shame we never got his name, but he told us all about his life while we sipped some lovely drinks. Would definitely come back if we ever visit again from Scotland!
I’ve never been to this bar, but since we inhabited a hotel room upstairs of it in the hotel in 417 Market St. for a week, I feel highly qualified to judge the music played in the reef bar. It’s good, and the base is so powerful the floorboards of the second story vibrate.
I'm not much of a drinker but I went to this bar and the atmosphere was different. In a way, it felt like a mini club and I loved it. I enjoyed being there because of the entertainment and great music that was being played. People were friendly and it was really fun.
Laid back atmosphere in the bar. Its broken up into two parts. I ordered the fish tostada and two fish tacos on Happy hour amd was not disappointed. They werent skimpy on it and by far the best grilled fish tacos ive had in my quick stay here in SD.
Place is a good place and really good on deals, super great location. Bartenders here are friendly although I do miss one in particular that is no longer there. I love to get Cheladas here and chase it with tequila and tacos. Cheers 🍻
The Reef Bar is a cool place to have some drinks on a Friday or a Saturday night. I really like the music they play and if you are hungry its connected to El Pulpo so you can get some great seafood while you drink with your friends. The bar is definitely a bit different than any other bar downtown but in a good way. You gotta just go check it out :).
Perfect pregame place if your bar hopping in DTSD. Plenty of seating, good music, staff is pretty chill. Drinks were made perfect and Best of all late happy hour which everyone loves. I recommend the SHARK ATTACK one of those and your set for a while
