Wow. I am in love! This food is incredible! The flavors were just amazing and somehow very strong without overpowering each other. I always love pickled vegetables in my food but sometimes it takes over and that’s all you taste. But here you could taste each flavor of each item and enjoy every one!
The menu is simple and easy to understand, but the possibilities are endless. You choose your base; either pita, rice or salad. And then a protein, sauces, and additions like veggies or cheese. I went with the pita which was to die for! It’s made fresh right on site and was so fluffy and delicious. And then I got it stuffed with chicken, onions, parsley mix, pickled cucumbers, pickled turnips, garlic sauce and spicy tahini sauce. My mouth is watering again just thinking about how delicious it was ;)My mom loved her creation too and we already started planning our next visit!
The place is so cute and the workers were all so sweet and helpful. Our food was made in record time too! And the prices were so good, especially considering how fresh the ingredients were. The owners are sweethearts and really care about their place and the customers which makes the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy my next amazing meal!
It is an amazing gem of a place in San Diego, where Middle Eastern food is served but with attention to detail.
The parking is free, nice and spacious well thought restaurant.
The menubis is very simple and easy.
I had the chicken Shoarma with garlic sauce, in a fresh pita bread, with fries. MUST TRY!
I tried the Subborn soda. It was really good.
The place was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
I was not prepared for this level of deliciousness. I had been wanting to try this place for a while, and I had high hopes, but I am just blown away by how much I loved my pita. I am a huge sauce person. And these SAUCES are just so outstanding that words fail me. This place is just night and day different from any I have ever experienced. And that is it right there. Every single thing that went into it was full of heart and Soul that you don't see everyday. I was so busy swooning and saying "oh wow" every bite that I could hardly eat.
Now, some people might not feel the same depth of experience. I do know it is at least worth a try, and worth driving out of your way too.
The Pita + Steak, Parsley Mix, Kalamata Olives, Toasted Almonds, Cilantro Tahini and Garlic Sauce is pure bliss!
The owners are fantastic. Thank goodness they followed their dream. My life is better for it. And, I am looking forward to more amazing meals.
I also can't wait to learn more about where all this flavor is coming from. It seriously blew my mind. I told Moody, one of the owners, it is one of the best things I have ever eaten. And I love food.
The bread is coming out of the oven right in front of you and smells incredible. I would go back just for that bread. The meat was so tender and full of flavor. The Toasted Almonds are a really special touch. I got two sauces and even extra sauce. Sauce person, remember? Sigh. The CILANTRO TAHINI is something I would like to put on everything!
My only 'problem' is that I want to eat that exact pita every single day, and somehow try all of the other delicious looking combinations. My daughter made a pita with chicken, Sriracha Tahini and pickled vegetables that was her kind of bliss.
The Lemonades are delicious and so was the Baklava. Both the Walnut and the Pistachio Baklava are fantastic. The best Baklava I have tasted. It was so light and less sugary sweet, so the other flavors come out. I can't wait to get more.
This place is so clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The owners made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. Add to that the feast for your senses and it's at the top of my 'must try' list for anyone who remotely likes this type of food; and definitely on my list of favorites. Thank you all for the delicious meal. You are all making the world a better place.
This place is epic. The food is cooked to perfection. The owners are generous, kind and humble and make the most delicious food. When we come in from Toronto, this is always our first, middle and last stop. You’ll be happy with anything your order. Enjoy your experience. #FromYourTorontoFans
Very good Middle Eastern street food restaurant. You place your order at the counter and they call your name when it is ready. Then you have a choice of inside and outside tables. Got the Chicken Shawarma Pita with Garlic Sauce. It was very tasty and had a fair amount of chicken for the price. The employees are very helpful and eager to make suggestions. The restaurant is spotless. They have some interesting light fixtures hanging from the center of the ceiling in the dining area that sets the restaurant apart from typical fast food places. Update: Got steak shawarma rice bowls. They were very good.
Great food - falafel and pita bread are really good. Mezze can be better. Overal good restaurant for Mediterranean food.
Tahini restaurant in San Diego is a must-visit for fans of Mediterranean cuisine! The food is delicious, with a great selection of authentic dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommend! Don't miss out on this gem!
Absolutely delicious and truly fresh middle eastern food with a unique twist. Falafel is so good as are the pickled veg. Fried halloumi sticks are better than mozzarella sticks. Great sauces and drink options. Also try Finjan Coffee Co next door!
Found this place on a whim, and glad to try it! Good falafel and steak shawarma. Friendly, quick service, and (mostly) clean restroom.
I’ve been coming here since they opened up. They’re phenomenal and I’m not surprised they were featured on the food network.
Love their pitas, bowls and fries. Specially love their falafel. They’re always fresh and crispy.
Everyone who works there is super nice. The owners are down to earth and wonderful to talk to as well.
It’s always consistently good and we never get tired of it!
