El Cuervo is one of my favorite family owned Mexican mom and pops. Their carne asada is marinated well with what I believe are hot carrots and pico. The Carne Asada Chimichanga is huge and tastes amazingly juicy, cheesy and delicious. I’ve also had their carne asada sans tortilla so it’s an option if you don’t want the carbs. Also just had the plain carne asada burrito in the past and it’s tasty.
El Cuervo is also my workplace’s favorite place for breakfast burritos. We order the Chorizo, Carne Asada, Bacon and Machaca burritos and they cut them in half or thirds if we ask them to. Also love their salsa bar - pico and the red sauce are my faves.
This is a typical counter service restaurant and the service is friendly and typically prompt. There is plenty of seating snd, except occasionally at the lunch hour, I’ve rarely had trouble finding a table here. While this place isn’t as popular as some of the more trendy and Mexican places around San Diego it’s absolutely one of my favorite go-to’s. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at times now that they no longer have the lot immediately adjacent to the restaurant anymore but it’s worth it.
Tried this spot for the first time. Staff was polite, and food was tasty. Definitely will be back
Used El Cuervo catering for our Teams Christmas breakfast this week. The food was AMAZING!! Every raved about it and made "to go" containers with the left overs. LOL That's really good sign, especially for some of our picky eaters! Sergio is super professional and easy to work with. Great prices too! I highly recommend! We will definitely be using him again.
Amazing Mexican restaurant that I happened to find the other day. The ambiance is cool and staff were always very friendly and attending. On top of that, food was incredible. Hands down the best margaritas and micheladas I’ve ever had and the mole enchilada and Chile relleno dishes were to die for. Definitely coming back
Have been coming to this neighborhood gem for over 20 years. Food is delicious, consistent flavor and great service for over 20 years. We've tried nearly everything on the menu and love it all. This family owned treasure is treasured by many San Diego locals. You won't regret coming here.
California burrito was delicious. Excellent meat cuts. Something different than the norm in the Mexican rice seasoning. Clove? Cinnamon? Maybe both? Definitely not for me, but I do recommend the carne asada. It's definitely a go!.
Taco shop can't be beat. Their carnitas stand out. One of the few taco spots with real guacamole and chips and an order option. No frills, long established, solid taco shop.
Only been there once, but I enjoyed it. The burrito I got was good, but I wasn't the biggest fan of it... that's more on me, though - I didn't 100% understand the cashier when I asked what was in it and I was also a bit too embarrassed to ask if he could repeat himself.
Either way, it was good. Gonna try a few more times and update the review as necessary.
Great food, well priced & super sweet staff. Large portions! 10/10
The staff is always helpful and friendly. I have been going here for over 10 years and the quality of food has never declined.
