I've tried every sandwich on the menu, not a single one I wouldn't recommend. Rich Boy is my favorite. They serve a small cookie with every sandwich. Although they don't boast about their acai bowl, they make the best one in town. I eat here every day when I'm in town.
The line can be long at lunch but usually moves fast. The sandwiches are delicious. Half is enough for one person and a whole if definitely shareable. They have a few parking spots in a small lot next to the laundry mat.
Delicious sandwiches and we loved the mini cookies. The bacon potato salad was a bit bland, and I'd pass on it next time. We brought our sandwiches back to the beach and had a perfect lunch. Creative combinations on the sandwiches were super fun and made it extra special! Great quick bite
Yum Yum Yum! Best sandwich in SD! This place has giagantic sandwiches and delicious flavors! The Stallion is what I've had along with their cream of jalapeno soup which was delish! Their little cookies they give with each sandwich are a great little after lunch/dinner snack. Also, their whole sandwich is big enough to split between two normal sized eaters. They have numerous choices for bread! The service is quick but, they can get super busy so I try to go in the in between meal times. I've been here a couple of times and always had a great experience. They hit the list for the top sandwich spots for sure in this awesome city! Parking is kind of a bummer is Mission Beach but, if you find a spot stop in here for some great soup and sandwiches!
I love coming to this place. I really enjoy the big sandwiches. If you're a fan of their Mission Hills location then you'll know what to expect. This is a great place cause its close to the beach so if you're already there, you can pick up a sandwich and enoy the rays. I'm also elated there is parking there because trust me I would not have been here if there was not a designated parking lot.
WOW! We wanted something different from airport food and found it - the sandwiches were delicious and yes, great value. We split half of a half - and the other sandwich will be consumed very soon! The comp mini cookie is a great end...
You must try the soda fountain! It's just like a pharmacy in 1959. The sandwiches were great. You can split a whole sandwich with another person. Noodle side dish was good. Best sandwich is the pork belly one.
I love this deli because the sandwiches are huge and they use creative ingredients. The bread is really good too. I recommend the spicy tuna sandwich for whenever and the southwest wrap for breakfast. somewhat pricey for a deli, but well worth it.
The food is great, not lunch meat type of stuff. The breads are the best and the cookies are tasty. Two whole sandwiches and a large cookie for $23. May seem high, but quality counts for a lot and it keeps you full for a while.
Awesome bread makes an awesome sandwich and they've got it. Sophisticated sandwiches, large portions, delicious cookies, cool and friendly staff... What more could you ask for? NB make sure you ask how big a full sandwich is before you order. They are GIGANTIC!
