This place has always been really good. I’ve had their fresh sushi rolls, amazing cod, and some great tacos. My most recent visit I took advantage of the veryy affordable taco Tuesday deals. Interestingly enough, the fried calamari taco took the top spot. It’s a really cool set up with the upscale fish market setting. I’ve noticed service to be better when you are seated at a table rather than popping up at the bar. Get a table if you can, but if it’s too busy and you can get a bar spot then jump on it!
Absolutely amazing! Stopped in for the $1 oysters for their Thursday special and was blown away by everything we ordered. Ended up having sharing 1 1/2 dozen oysters, the sushi tower, shrimp ceviche/cocktail, and mussels. The oysters were fresh and small which I’m a huge fan of. Friendly staff and great happy hour prices on drinks.
Good good. Good service. Nice vibe. Horrible parking situation. While not their fault, it sucks having to circle around the block several times trying to find a spot to park.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! We found this gem online and it’s clearly a local favorite… and for good reason. Nice but still casual atmosphere with a lively bar side, and mellow dining side. I think there was a large back patio too. It’s family friendly and service was great.
Now let’s get to the food… Oh my yumminess! We had sushi rolls and calamari for appetizers and dinner was ciopino and seafood pasta. All of it was amazing and dinner was loaded with sea creatures o’plenty! Portions were huge but I wasn’t sad to take leftovers home.
Next time we’re in this area again, we will definitely be back. They had a whole section on the menu with Fresh Catch of the Day selections that looked really delicious too.
Had a great dinner on this place, highly recommend taking both ahi tuna poke and sushi tower (my favorite). They also have a cozy deck with heater which helped us accommodating our dog. Staff is very friendly and supportive, definitely want to get back here soon.
Bay Park Fish Company is a great local restaurant. I find it to be a great alternative to Luce next-door. It’s definitely more of a quiet restaurant atmosphere compared to a loud, noisy modern bar. I would expect to see a lot more families at Bay Park. I don’t think reservations are needed here. I was able to walk in with many sitting options on a Wednesday night. There are two sections to this restaurant. One is a normal dining room and another is a bar with high tops. One downside is this is not a cheap restaurant. But that is pretty typical for San Diego, but I was hoping for something a little more affordable when you’re not in the high touristy part of town. There is only street parking, but you can find a spot pretty much anytime of day. They are really friendly and quick service. The food was done very soon after ordering. I would come back!
I was visiting San Diego this weekend. My friend and I were looking for places to eat. We walked past this place looked at the menu and decided to check it out. Wow was an amazing experience, did not expect the food to be as top quality as it was. The service was great the atmosphere was great. I will definitely return the next time I'm in town. One of the best food experiences.
Great local seafood joint. Excellent entrees. (Had the salmon beurre blanc. 👍👍😋). Local beers on tap. Great service. Only negative is parking can be a challenge. Still, a very cool place to watch the game, drink some local brews, and eat seafood.
Great food, great hostess, and very clean however, severs all seemed resistant to check on our table. We are a large party of 6 with children.
I came in near their closing time and their host Kaylee went the extra mile to make sure the kitchen could still spin up a couple simple sushi rolls for me. Then I sat at the bar and Vince got a cold beer very quickly. I had a rough day and this staff really took care of me. I always recommend this place to my friends and it's great people like Kaylee and Vince that really make a difference. I will definitely return.
