Love this place!… Music is top notch, service is great… Drinks are poured at an appropriate level LOL… A.k.a. not with a lot of ice like most bars do to water down…If you’re looking for a place by the beach with a great view to chill with friends… This is it
I went with a friend on a Friday night for happy hour. We sat at a small table by the window and service, appetizers and drinks were excellent. I suggested it for brunch with a group of friends on Sunday. It's now one if our favorites. The bar tender was attentive and we enjoyed his recommendations, especially the fish bowl. When our table by the window was ready we had a fabulous view. The ahi bowl with coconut rice was the best. We'll be back!!
Last time I came here and didn’t bring my passport so I couldn’t order wine. However, the foods were really good! I love their sweet & spicy wings the most. The other foods I ordered were decent. The waitress was friendly! Would recommend 💌
Service was great and we got to seat on one of the big open windows with just gorgeous views of the ocean. Such a nice relax meal 😌 Food was excellent. I will definitely recommend 👌🏼
So, right on the Strand in PB, you have to be ready for crowds, or come at 'off times' -- like I did at about 2pm on Wed, for lunch -- easy to be seated, etc. Awesome beach views from the gigantic 2nd floor dining room. Of course, you pay extra for the location and view... The poke app is ok, but small -- and thats fine.
Ordered the fish & chips + the braised short ribs. I would get the fish & chips again, the tartar was very tasty and the fries were crisp. I was hoping the short ribs were going to be better, they had a thick coat of sauce on them & although the flavor was alright, the sauce was unnecessarily thick making them hard to eat.
Our server was kind & attentive during our visit. The main dishes range between $25-50 per plate so plan to spend upwards of that per person if ordering a meal.
Stopped by here for an early dinner, as I was looking for a place to eat before heading to find a spot to watch the sunset. I have to say, this place is great! The view from the tables is amazing, and the Chef's Choice Smashburger was fantastic. Great combination of flavors with the creamy garlic sauce and sweet pickles. Decent draft beer selection too - you'll likely find something in your preferred style.
We love Waterbar and highly recommend it to all our friends! We had a nice ocean view and had great drinks. We ordered the fish and chips and the ceviche which were both amazing. I have had the salmon sushi roll in the past which is also delicious! 10/10 Waterbar is high end dining with nice atmosphere at the beach!
The location is incredible. Overlooking Pacific Beach, with views of the pier. They just do a great job. Clean, great service, friendly, and fast. Good selection of beers and the food was really delicious. This was my third time here, and they always hit the high mark. I definitely recommend them.
Water bar is undeniably a fabulous restaurant. The establishment has an impressive atmosphere and quality food. I find myself consistently impressed by their professionalism and customer service. I recommend the lobster roll and shrimp cocktail!
Fantastic restaurant in PB! We were able to get a reservation for our large group (12 people) and were sat right away.
They have tons of (open) windows facing the ocean for daytime and sunset views. Fans throughout the restaurant to keep the temp pleasant.
The cocktail list was large, though several people in our party commented that the drinks were weak. While tasty, they didn’t appear to have much alcohol.
The food was all delicious and fresh. Great flavors and pretty presentation. Our server was fantastic-super quick, friendly, and on top of everything.
The restaurant was kind enough to comp desserts and a few other things for two members of our party who we were celebrating. A nice surprise!
Kimberly Z(server) was awesome. We had an 11 top for our fantasy football league draft. A bunch of us flew into town from different parts of the country We were very happy in our choice to celebrate at water bar. I know how hard it is for servers to split checks on a Big Top she Accommodate us very well. kept the drinks coming. The food was awesome the atmosphere and ocean view was amazing. service was great and friendly. 10 out fo 10 for water bar thanks so much.
