Great good. This was my second visit. It was so good the first time I had to go back. We enjoyed our visit with the owner Hanna, and our waiter Alejandro was outstanding. I wish I knew everyone's name at the resturant so I could mention them. The good is amazing. We started with appetizer then moved on the the salads and then the main course. The beef bourgeois is amazing. So was the asparagus lasagna and the bobotie meatloaf. One of us requested a vegan dish and asked that the kitchen do whatever they wanted and the did not disappoint. I enjoy when the kitchen can be so accommodating. Next time you are in San Diego make the short drive to North Park and enjoy Hanna's Gourmet.
I've been coming to Hanna's since she opened this as a tiny takeout. She's grown the restaurant into one of the more tasteful in town. It is a hidden gem I wish I remembered more often. Every meal is a standout, and her special menus offer a fresh world tour without having to go very far. Thank you, Hanna, for your attention to all of the little things that make a difference and for treating us to your delicious food all these years.
So I've been hearing about this place for awhile now and I got to try it last Thursday. I got the apple and goat cheese stuffed chicken and my mom got the Fennel, Orange, Apple & Arugula Salad. I really liked the butternut squash mash on the apple and goat cheese stuffed chicken.
I tried some of Mom's Fennel, Orange, Apple & Arugula Salad and that was great as well. For dessert i had the ginger carrot cake, and it was so yummy! They also had a Cardamom & goat cheese creme brûlée, I need to try that next time.
Also it's pretty cool that they have a family style dinner each month. This month's monthly dinner is Greek. I had a hard time picking between the Moroccan Chicken Tagine, Apricots, Dated, Preserved lemons & Green Olives and the apple and goat cheese stuffed chicken.
One of the greatest places to go in San Diego. Recently rated in the top 6 San Diego Hidden Gems by the Union Tribune. I crave the cous cous. The lasagna is the best I've had outside of Rome. When you read the menu it is almost impossible to decide because everything sounds tremendous and you are guaranteed it will taste as good as it sounds.
Tasty spectacular food and great owners. Worth a trip to see them.
Hannah's Gourmet in San Diego, California, deserves a solid 5 stars! Their vanilla lattes are superb, striking a perfect balance of coffee and vanilla. The green chilaquiles are an absolute delight—crispy tortilla chips, vibrant green sauce, and fresh ingredients create an unforgettable Mexican-inspired experience. I really enjoyed my lunch here. The crew is very accommodating. The food is delicious, you can tell its quality and most likely made from scratch unlike chain restaurants or a lot of other places have gone down in quality but Hanna's gourmet is still very delicious quality food and service !! The drinks are made so pretty too & your water and coffee always refilled! absolutely recommend it! THEY ALSO HAVE TAKE HOME DINNERS!! AMAZING OPTION!!
The food is delicious !! The quality and quantity are perfection! The staff is very friendly, attentive, and has a very homie feel staff is always smiling & laughing with each other! It's contagious! They have specials every Sunday . Today, I had poblano cream chilaquiles! Delicious! This is a hidden gem that is absolutely recommended!
Always amazing. We hosted our annual employee dinner event and our 40 guests were highly impressed with the flavors, presentation and drinks! Hannah and her team outdid themselves. Thank you and you should call in them for in house buyouts or catered events. (We did a buyout!)
The food was good for the price! unfortunately they’re only open Sundays for dine in.
I advise you wear something you don’t want to spend the rest of the day in because if you dine in here you’re clothes will smell like a fryer.
One of the best breakfast places I've been to. And, hands down the best red velvet pancakes I've ever had in my life. Pancakes are big, soft, fluffy. Really friendly people. I had to do 2 or 3 rounds in a 3 block radius to find a parking spot, but the breakfast was totally worth the trouble. Totally recommended!
What a breath of fresh air! With all these pop up restaurants everywhere trying to be trendy with bacon and Mexican inspirations the Hanna's Gourmet stands out from them all! The chef and owner has created a outstanding menu with fresh ingredients and everything is homemade from scratch. This is a world cafe so the menu is always changing with authentic gourmet dishes that will leave you fully satisfied. Very friendly staff, cute airy atmosphere with a quaint courtyard. Don't miss this restaurant!
This is a small Quaint place. Clean, open, and comfortable. Service was fast, friendly and never needed to wait for refills or trying to flag anyone down. The table next to us food came and immediately got excited for our own meals. It looked so appetizing and hot. Our food was equally attractive and tasted delicious. I am usually reaching for the salt and pepper but didnt need to here. Very filling and satisfying. I ordered the eggs a la France and my boyfriend ordered the 2 egg breakfast. We will be coming back again!
Great! The service is friendly & perfectly attentive.not too much & too little when they would check on us!! The food taste great! Quality food & very tasty in every way! The drinks as well! Its a small business & the owners are very active in the restaurant. Hanna herself comes out to say hello & check on her patrons! Loved it
This is the best brunch place I have been to anywhere period! They have a variety of emotions to choose from, I personally ordered two Blackberry cream mimosas which were delicious. With my friends we ordered carrot cake pancakes, red velvet chocolate chip pancakes, omelets and other amazing dishes! I would definitely recommend this place to everybody!
