First time here and I lived in San Diego for about 6 years and this is one of the best I've seen in San Diego. They had some really good drinks but I didn't try the food. Next time I go there I will try the food. I would definitely become back over here. Thank you very much for taking care of me..
Beautiful view. I came for the happy hour (based on their website it was good until 7pm for cocktails), but was charged full price. Good mix on the electric screwdriver.
Nice roof top bar. Great view of San Diego parades stadium. Would be an awesome time if there was a game going on. Drink and foods are a little pricey. No waiter, and you have to call down for food. A pepperoni pizza costs $45. I expected things to be a little higher than normal. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.
This is a great place to chill-out with a drink and socialize. The view is top notch as it's located 22 stories above the gasl lamp district of San Diego right beside Petco Park. It is well worth it, especially at night!. Really easy to get to if you stay at the Marriott Gas Lamp.
Very cool place to get drinks from. It's on the 22nd floor of a Marriott in downtown SD and basically the whole top floor is for the bar. You get incredible views of all of SD - Petco Park, the Coronado Bridge, downtown SD, etc. There are two balconies on either side, and on a Friday night it was quite packed even without a Padres game going on. One gripe I have is the elevator won't go up to the 22nd floor (rather, it won't move at all) unless you can swipe a hotel card on the reader. However, I did hear people say that one of the elevators doesn't require a card.
Bar has amazing views of downtown San Diego including Petco Park and also Coronado. I feel like the view itself heavily compensates for the subpar drinks and the spread out setup. Regardless, it is still worth the visit to see the views of San Diego. Getting there was very easy, many signs to show where and how to get to the venue.
I like coming here when out-of-town folks visit. 3 bars available on a busy night, music, and two beautiful views of the city. You can see the Petco Park, Coronado Bridge, and the Convention Center on one side. You can see Downtown San Diego on the other side. Gives you a nice look of the city over a glass of whiskey.
It's our long standing favorite Gaslamp rooftop bar. On the 22nd floor of the Marriott, it offers 2 different absolutely stunning views.
The 1st is directly overlooking Petco Park, and if you get there early enough on game days you can sit and watch the game. From this same spot you can get full views of the bay and Coronado. It also offers one of the best views of the Big Bay Boom fireworks on the 4th.
The 2nd view is of the city skyline, and you'll want to brave the heights to get that perfect pic, even more so at night when downtown is lit up. This section used to be open all the time, but recently it's been closed except during certain times.
There is also indoor and outdoor seating.
Absolutely breathtaking view every time with Petco Park and downtown in the background. Came mid week without the crowd-- so serene and relaxing. The clear glass balcony provided a magnificent view of the colorfully lit downtown skyline. Lounge chairs with heat lamps and circular seating area with fire pit are cozy and perfect for a date or group outing on those chilly nights. Love all the color changing visual stimulation.
Great rooftop bar. Definitely need a jacket at night, although they have some heaters. Expensive drinks but worth it with the view.
