The smoked brisket was very juicy. The sauce was tasty and not too spicy. The poached egg was perfectly cooked.
The french toast logs were fluffy with a toasty exterior; and massive 😮. I was expecting Lincoln Logs, but they were 3x3 and at least 14 inches long. The double bacon option is overkill for all but the ravenously hungry and competitive eaters.
The decor is clean and the seating is comfortable, the bathroom is well appointed.
The staff are very knowledgeable and attentive.
This place is a must try! My wife found this spot from a neighbor and we checked it out today. The parking lot is kind of small but you may get lucky. The server Jasmine, highly recommended. She was friendly, very happy, and told us about to most popular dishes. Everything looked great! I got the pigs in the blanket and the Mrs. got the french toast. The portions are huge but the food was off the chain! Have to go back in a few weeks once I wake up from the food coma lol. Just a great place to eat!!!
Definitely coming back again! Me and my friends came here from Washington DC for vacation and were not disappointed! Here are the top 5 things you should know:
1. Saturday brunch was PACKED and a 45 minute wait, but because I had a reservation we were immediately seated!
2. Parking is tight, but not impossible!
3. It seems that many people know to order "The Pigs in a blanket" and "French Toast Logs" for the table. The portions are huge
4. California Chorizo Scramble Melt was crazy good and the potatoes seasoned to perfection!
5. The Blueberry and plain Silver Dollar Pancakes were amazing!
The service was amazing and as picky as I can be, I had not a single complaint! I really want to go back to San Diego just for this brunch experience again!
The portions are huge! I had one of their salads and it was enough to feed me for the rest of the day. It was extremely fresh and d delicious. The service was really great, and all of the meals my friends ordered looked incredible as well. The atmosphere is loud and stimulating - I’d request to sit outside if you prefer a quieter setting.
Best Beignets outside New Orleans! Bring a friend because one order is enough for two people.
Great brunch menu items too. They use seasonal ingredients with an excellent rustic style. Be prepared to wait for Brunch, and parking is limited. The seating area is comfortable for dogs and people. We always go with our dog Oskar and he can't wait to get our bacon.
I suggest going here then enjoying the Hillcrest Farmer's market only a couple blocks away, on Sundays.
I had been eyeing this spot for quite some time, and I'm SO glad I finally came!
The food is absolutely amazing! Seriously, seriously delicious! Do not come here without trying the amazing French Toast - definitely large enough to share! Everything we had was so scrumptious!
I would advise reserving a table because they're always packed to the brim, and for good reason! The service was friendly and fast, the atmosphere is also so cute and comfy! There is some parking but it is limited so keep that in mind.
Do not come to the Hillcrest area without stopping by!
We came here for eggs florentine because Google said menu highlights include egg florentine but they don’t have it. We improvised a bit, it was delicious. Looks like they gave really good cocktails and a good bar selection and the French toast log also looked amazing. The ciabatta was good, portobello mushroom spears are amaziiing!!
Let me start with this place is always crowded and their is real struggle for parking so be prepared. We went their for breakfast and ordered their most famous great maple French toast. The quantity was good enough to be shared between 2 people. The taste was good and service was great.
Went with family, this place is great for food and atmosphere with family or friends. The wait tends to be a little long so definitely make reservations if possible otherwise you’ll have to wait 30 mins to and hour but otherwise definitely worth eating here. Also the Maple bacon donuts are to die for, get those 100% :)
The server was very friendly. It’s a cool brunch place with outdoor seating and our reservation was for outside but they gave us a table inside. That’s why I’m giving a 4 stars. My food was really good and I couldn’t finish it. Parking is a little challenging.
