Had the short ribs and the chicken sandwich. Wife says short ribs are the best she's ever had. Meanwhile, the chicken sandwich was basically flavorless. The chicken had no flavor it was the strangest thing. All you could taste was some pesto. Wine selection seems very vast and impressive and affordable. Will go again but not for the sandwich.
Want some fun recommendations for wine from a knowledgeable hostess? The last time I was here was pre COVID, when there was a parking lot and no weird, noisy, near death experience car circle. Out hostess showed us some wines. I was over excited and decided quickly instead of listening to more options. Our first Italian chianti was not a favorite and the second bottle was better.
We had a bday dinner here, friendly folks brought out a cookie and delicious ice cream for dessert with a candle on it. One friend was a bit disappointed that the meat and cheese plate (delicious warm bread and great spread!) was not explained when it came out, she said they did before COVID, and that she had to send the salad back because the dressing wasn't on the side like she asked. (If you take half home, if dressing is on it, it will be soggy.) The other friend said the braised beef was cool on the inside. My salmon with potato and onion pancake was very hot and so we traded.
If you go at night, bring a jacket. They have heaters for every two tables.
There are about five spots in the front. The rest is street parking. It was hard to find. We hiked for about five blocks. We made reservations.
I've never tried some of the seafood or duck options, but maybe I will next time!
Came in at 9p after a long travel day as our Airbnb host recommended 3rd Corner. Absolutely amazing dinner, seafood risotto and spicy sausage penne with the seasonal red &white wines. Service was fantastic and the perfect place to wind down.
Amazing. Definitely in our top 10 in our experience of restaurants in the US. The duck comfit was superb, never had better, and the wine choice was international.
Competes with any restaurant in Europe that we have visited. It's a must try.
Lovely little spot for brunch, fine wines and a delightful experience indoor or outdoor seating.
I’ve been coming here for years with my family and it’s a favorite anytime I’m in San Diego.
My mom and I went recently and enjoyed Bloody Mary, sangria, salads, soup- and our favorite: the Brie baked in puff pastry.
The new outdoor seating is just lovely
This was an interesting restaurant, almost seemed more like a wine store. Racks of wine throughout that you could search for that perfect wine for your dish. Then they uncork it for you and serve with their delicious meals. We had the seafood risotto and it was excellent, it came with 4 shrimp and two huge scallops (half dollar sized), perfectly cooked risotto in a cream sauce. We also shared a goat milk cheesecake which was equally delicious and definitely unique.

Very nice dinner, you were able to choose your own bottle of wine from their large selection. We split the cheese plate appetizer and lemon curd dessert across the table and both were quiet good. There weren't a lot of vegetarian options, but there were some. I had the Mushroom and Asparagus Risotto, which was fantastic!
Excellent restaurant and wine store in OB. Great selection of wines and good daily seafood specials.
There are good deals on wines and drinks in a very pleasant setting by the beach.
We had a lovely meal this weekend, outside on the back deck/patio. I’m only giving 4 starts because 2 of us got the sea bass and both were slightly overcooked. My friend who got the duck loved it. Desserts were great too. Definitely a nice place to go with a group of friends.
Wonderful wine selection - by the glass and retail by the bottle with $5 corkage if you drink while dining. Great prices and lots of options. They hold tastings and wine dinners as well.
TIP: Join their wine club which puts you on the mailing list!
Full bar including interesting beer, cocktails and spirits. Happy hour Tues-Fri in afternoon as well as some late-night happy hours.
Interesting menu. Our faves are scallops, roasted chicken and pork chop. Nice brunch on Saturday and Sunday with bottomless mimosas.
Great staff.
Reserve as they are often fully booked on weekends. There are multiple seating areas but all indoors.
