Doubledave's Pizzaworks

You know for some reason I remember double Dave's being such a great pizza place! I completely understand that since covid and all the other changes that have been going on throughout all kinds of businesses, have made a lot of things also change in every other city for restaurants. Well me and my son were at the HEB right down the street from this particular location, and we thought I would take him to try his first double Dave's pizza! As we went in there was only one car that was parked in the front of the entrance door, while we walked in we waited almost 15 minutes just for someone to come out from the back a young lady who told us she'd be right with us. After waiting another gentleman came from the back and took our order without any suggestions at all or any greeting to be honest. Now the lady that was behind me was the lady from the car in the parking lot and all she was waiting for was her order which was to be picked up in store! So in other words if I waited 15 minutes to get served and we had to decide for ourselves but we were going to get, she waited 20 minutes just to get her Pizza that was already ready! However let's flip the coin, my son and I enjoyed the pizza that we ordered it came out exactly the way we wanted it we even cleaned up the table on our way out! So unfortunately like a lot of other restaurants and stores and different businesses that have suffered a huge loss not only customer service but employees, just be prepared to possibly wait and possibly not be greeted.

First time eating Double Dave’s pizza and it pretty good. I’m glad to have another pizza selection in the neighborhood and Double Dave’s does not disappoint. The ingredients are fresh and the dough has a great flavor, will definitely add this to our restaurant rotation.

First time for me and my kids visited DoubleDave’s. At the first bite, we knew it was good. We ordered a cheese pizza because if you can’t do the cheese pizza right, I don’t want to taste the rest. My husband was away from home so he didn’t get a chance to taste it. When I told him about the pizza, he asked what our son thought. I said “oh, he loved it.” To which he replied, “ok, now I really want to try it.” We also had mild wings. The wings are thick and not small; very filling and tasty. My daughter ordered the veggie thin crust pizza to which she said was tasty. I wouldn’t know because I didn’t get to taste it. :D *They deliver within 5 miles of their facility, take out and drive up window.

UPDATE: Our first meal - during their opening weekend - at this new location unfortunately did not meet the high standard of deliciousness we've grown accustomed to at DoubleDave's. But after providing a detailed review critiquing the bread of both the pizza and the chee-z rolls, we were pleasantly surprised that the owner found my wife's number from our order and gave her a call. Not just to apologize, but to actually thank us for our critical review because it helped them identify the source of the problem that had to do with getting their equipment properly tuned for their new location. We were extremely impressed by the owner's sincere desire to work out the kinks to make sure their customers are getting the best-tasting food possible. He didn't make us feel guilty at all for giving a critical review because he was clearly way more concerned about fixing the problem. Well after placing another order a few weeks later, we are happy to report that the owner's dedication and passion for creating delicious pizza and creating happy customers has paid off. The chee-z rolls that were too tough for the kids the first time were now quickly devoured before the adults could grab seconds. We were already fans of DoubleDave's based solely on the deliciousness of their food. But now we realize that the food is merely an outcome or reflection of their team's quest for all-around excellence. Well done guys. See you again soon....and then again soon after that.

The best Double Dave's by far. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The drive thru makes picking up pizza fast and easy. The restaurant is very clean and the staff does an excellent job of keeping it that way. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any pizza lover. The pizza and staff are unmatched by any other pizza place I have been to.
