One of the most amazing places to grab some food from on the south side of San Antonio. There has not been a restaurant that has given me such kindness and respect that it makes me question the state of traduitional restaurants in San Antonio. Angela's Mexican Cafe is one of the few places left in this city that makes you feel right at home. Each and every single item on the menu is crafted with careful consideration of each and every ingredient that goes into that dish. Such attention to detail is key to creating exquisite meals, and that is something that is lacking in most restaurants. I wish that the chefs would understand how much I respect them for their work in creating such amazing dishes that I cannot get enough of. Whenever I am away from this restaurant for too long I begin to feel a bit of homesickness and yearn to go back to have some unique food here. It's strange that a mixture of the quality of food, service, and atmosphere all come together to create this feeling of nostalgia within me about growing up and eating meals with my family. Simply put, Angela's Mexican Restaurant is a restaurant that evokes feelings of nostalgia within it's customers through excellent service, geniune kindness, and dishes crafted by chefs who care more about their customers than the value of a tortilla on a plate.
The bean & cheese nachos were perfect, the enchiladas were delicious, the asada a la mexicana was awesome, and the rice and beans were good! Also, the service was exceptional. Jessie may be the best waitress I’ve ever had!
For those of you who think great customer service is dead, you need to come here! Just happened to be in the area and stumbled across this cozy restaurant. Such a relaxing and friendly atmosphere! The smiling waitresses were constantly, and I mean constantly, making their rounds to every table and checking in on them. The migas w 2 different colored crispy tortillas and the perfectly fried potatoes were delicious, along the green salsa that complemented them both perfectly! I ordered a side of bacon to go with the creamy refried beans and soft flour tortillas... Over all it was such a great homemade meal. Definitely coming back again! ❤️👍

This place was so Damm good ,I usually hate ordering breakfast plates cause there's always something over cooked but everything was so good and the barbacoa was great , this place was very clean and staff was fast and tended to us without us having to call them ..I'm definitely coming back here with my family..would recommend this place to everyone..I loved it.❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

Food very good. Service is excellent, waitresses always friendly. Owners always smiling, always making sure their customers are happy and their waitresses doing their part. Can't review too many restaurants this way.

The food was very good. The menudo needed more hominy but the flavor was good. Excellent tortillas. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. We will return and try their tacos.
