This is a small restaurant, and the parking lot is not very big and is shared with another business so heads up on that. I've gone with a group and with just one other person and we were served well each time. This restaurant has changed it's name to " Sylvia's Cafe" so that's the name you actually need to be looking for. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they have a good variety of food to choose from. (The pic of the menu is from only one page of the menu, so there's more they offer). My only negative comment is the small amount of refried beans they give on some of their plates, it's almost the portion for a child's plate in other restaurants, so I would encourage them to be a little more generous with that. Otherwise, I recommend you visit and enjoy the great food here, I know I'll be going back again real soon!
This is one of the best small, unknown, local taquerias here in San Antonio! The food, all local favorites, are fantastic. And the service is always top notch. Lots of room here so you don't feel cramped like many other restaurants. Be on the look out for their specialty breakfast tacos; the Colby and Enrique tacos are the best!
Really great diner feel. They have two tacos that they are famous for and one is jimmy deans sausage, egg and cheese. Simple food that is really tasty. They can get busy in the mornings but their take out is super easy.
Great food! Excellent service!
The atmosphere is very friendly and feels like family the moment we walked in. The waitress had us drinks and menus in less than a minute!
The homemade tortillas are delicious.
I recommend if you’re in the area and want a bite to eat, stop here. Easy access in and out from San Pedro.
Dine in or take out. Good food is what this place is about!
The level of politeness goes just as far as the level of meal that I had.
Fantastic food, fresh hand-made tortillas and delicious breakfast tacos. The Norteño taco is the best value. The Big Ed taco is my favorite.
The roasted home-made salsa has the best flavor of any salsa I've had. The green salsa is great if you like a lot of heat.
They also have a great taco deal before 10am 12 tacos for 13 dollars.
I love this place!! We had their Sunday special (what a great deal!), it offers menudo AND a barbacoa taco. The manager came by to greet us and our server was extremely friendly and curteous. Their tables were all cleaned promptly as customers left and the music made the environment very enjoyable. Best tortillas (flour and corn) anywhere!!!

The food is good, coffee is pretty decent and prices are in the normal range. It's so popular that they should hire a couple of extra helpers / waitresses because that's what takes away the fifth star.... they could take little long in noticing you need some coffee refill at busy times.
Reviewing this place as I'm sitting here eating. We used to come here when it was near San Pedro and Basse. We haven't been here in years untill last month. The food was good but we had to try it again to make sure. The first time we came the rice wasn't that good. Today, it is delicious. The entire plate is good(I got the #7. I don't remember the name). The lemonade is fresh and it is so good and refreshing. It's hard to find good fresh squeezed lemonade. They have 3 salsa selections. My mother said their red salsa was good and spicy. I will say that as the tortillas started to cool, the became a little tough. Customer service could use some improvement. We were the only ones here untill a few minutes ago and haven't had anyone to come by to see how we were doing. I think we will be making this our new go to Mexican restaurant.
Called an order to go for breakfast tacos and they were amazing. I've only had them this good at one other place. I really liked that they were open on Sunday too. This place was packed so call to go if in a hurry.
