I am a regular customer who now lives in Kirby. I come as often as I get a chance. The coffee is by far the Best Cup of Coffee in the South Side even topping Starbucks which I had frequented until having this. It is a busy place & can be loud at times, but for me it is due to great food, friendly service, & attentive owners & staff. I come in every season for capirotada & coffee. Once, they ran out before I arrived. The owner himself, came over & shared with me half of a serving he had put aside for himself. This is what has kept me a faithful customer. Not just the good food. The fact that the dishwasher comes & says Hi when he sees me. All the waitresses know my twin girls. The owners & family walk around & talk you. They Are My South Side Family...Thank You Soo Much For Your Service & Memories...
Absolutely the best authentic Mexican food ever. We love every bit of this place. Just wish we could go for dinner. Packed up food and brought for 7 hour drive to Plainview.
My first time ordering from here and wow they are homemade tortillas food is delicious yes I do recommend this restaurant it's mouth watering

Homemade tortillas were great. I got the lunch special and was given a generous amount of food. Place seemed very homey and the waitresses were accommodating. Definitely a place to come back to in the future. Sometimes can be busy so there might be some wait time.
Visited on a Monday was a little busy. No wait though. Very nice and friendly waitress. She was very attentive. Food looked delicious. Yes I was looking at other people's food 😂. Anyhow ours looked and tasted great. Thank you El Sol🙂
First time eating here!! My BFF has been trying to get me to eat her and finally i did. We love our enchiladas with American cheese 🧀 and carne guisada with cheese 💯👌 perfecto. Las tortillas were good too.
The food here is fresh and always piping hot. The waitresses are always so attentive I love when they just refill your drink without asking. Can't go wrong I love the cheese enchiladas
Food is always on point here. Even if you order to go. Best place for true Mexican food like your mom or grandma used to make. Prices are average. There is always a wait but well worth it. My favorite is the puffy tacos. Carne guisada is good hard to find a restaurant that makes this good. The cheese they use is great. I would call this place a true gem. If your on the south side of town don't hesitate to try you won't regret it.
Breakfast was wonderful and great. We sat in our usual corner in the back. Waitress was superb and that's why we keep going back...

Small restaurant but the short wait wasn't bad. Place was very busy but the food is good and has the home made feel.
I love the coaches' taco. It has become my favorite. Service is excellent, waitress always smiling. Recommend at 100%
