Burger was hot, juicy and had immense flavor! Honestly can't say enough about it. Easily the best burger I've had in San Antonio. This place is a hidden gem that I'm gonna bring everyone I can to. The fries were good as well, lightly crispy with just the right amount of salt. Service was outstanding, everyone was very personable and inviting. You can tell they really take pride in what they do. Will return for sure!
If you haven’t tried this cute hole in the wall place you need to!!! Quality and quantity was a perfect blend for anyone who appreciates “mom and pops shops” the food was amazing and with it being a day and age where places become short staffed… I’m talking ONE MAN running the whole place taking orders, running the register, and cooking the food is like WOW WOW WOW! Ray made this experience amazing, service, and food! As an owner of a restaurant if you can survive through COVID while being short staffed, you’re doing something right. Ray, my family and I thank you for your service and food, we definitely hope to see you again.
Ramon (owner) was very welcoming, made great food, and chatted with us a bit. I love the vibe of the place and the music. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you for the awesome lunch!
I loved this place. My boyfriend and I are students at St. Phillips and decided to stop by on our lunch and the burgers were 10/10. The fries were my favorite! You can tell everything is homecooked and the man who took our order/ cooked everything was very friendly. We will 100% be coming back! 😄
Today's sojourn for a big, beefy burger took us to the church of 1/2 pounders. Reverend Ray's delivery of an earful of life lessons along with a burger basket combo was both interesting and delicious respectively.
A sign at the door advised patience as it proclaimed the absence of kitchen acolytes, but we noticed no detriment to service as we were the sole burger faithful (we did notice that Elvis was in the house) at near closing time of 3:00 pm.
Soft buns with suitable scorch marks from the griddle to firm the bread slightly in support of the juicy Bolner's ground chuck, brisket and short rib mixture was testament to a skilled cook. Slender fries were the floppy, soft chew type served post haste from the fryer.
There was a moment of pain, however, as the plate was passed for two double cheese burger combos with drinks at $36 though I understand the tithe for spuds, beef, etc. is now ever increasing. Regardless it seems that there may be a Lord's Kitchen coming to an area near you with current plans for coming expansion to spread the burger word.
This is a great place for a quiet quaint meal with family or friends. The staff are so kind and welcoming. But the star is the food. Will be returning in the near future.
These are great burgers served in a down home environment, where personal service and friendliness are their hallmarks. This is not fast food, but is worth the wait. Thick juicy burgers are made to order. The fries are delicious too! Not located in the best neighborhood, but that only adds to the charm (we can all use a little adventure on occasion). Brave the environs and the line and you’ll be glad you did. This place is an institution that has had decades of success by serving a great product. No chain can compete. We’ll be back!

Very friendly staff and hamburgers were great. Would prefer slightly crispier fries but will certainly go back and do recommend giving it a try. I have been here multiple times.
