My family and I stopped into Susie’s Lumpia House on Sunday. This was the BEST homemade and authentic food we’ve had while here in San Antonio! No wait for seating. But the place did get super packed quick. Buffet had a lot of options, but isn’t a self serve buffet. Someone serves you the portions but you can go back as many times as you would like. (My guess is to keep from food wasting) Food was AMAZING! Temperature was on point and flavor was fire! The buffet only comes with water. Yea and soft drinks are extra. I still asked for a glass of ice with my soda. Desserts were also included in the buffet, the flan was the perfect finish to an AMAZING meal. Price wasn’t too bad. $87 for 4 of us with extra drinks. They have karaoke nights and a huge stage on the opposite side of the restaurant. And a small market with lots of Filipino goodies! Super neat place to visit. We will most certainly come again. Susie was also very personable! She came around to all the tables to see how everything tasted. She gave us a nice comfy homestyle feeling.
Susie's lumpia house was very good, the food was very authentic, atmosphere was ok, they have a bar side that had a dance floor and a stage for a band.
It is also a market that you can buy Philippine products, oh and lumpia to go and order before hand.
My wife and I had heard so much about this place and the food was amazing. The hostesses and staff were very kind and helpful and they even have kareoke here!! Definitely gonna be going back and highly recommend coming by!
My grandma and family love this place. Nice little restaurant. The food is satisfactory and the price I pay for the food is very reasonable. Small area but enough to satisfy my Filipino food cravings. There's a mini grocery area off to the side. On Saturday and Sundays, they offer a mini buffet which is pretty good as well!
The staff and owner are friendly and really make you feel at home. They always come to your table to attend to your needs and are always ready to help you out, which is really nice and shows going above and beyond. I will come back here again with my grandma who loves the restaurant!
I liked this place. We came in not expecting much but was very amazed and the fact it is a buffet too, all you can eat lumpia and pancit, you can't beat that!!!! Our server was super nice and will help you out with what is in the food etc if you are new to Phillipino food.
Best Filipino restaurant hands down!!! The food was delicious and tasted just like my moms cooking. Halo halo was the best I’ve had ever!!! I’m from out of town but seriously considered moving just to be closer to this restaurant ❤️
Review based on the 1.00 lumpia's only. They are the best ones I've had in San Antonio so far (good size).
I will have to try buffet one day.
Friendliest staff and they have Bar/Karoke/barfoods as well.
Have never been here before, but I will definitely be coming back in the future, Chris really made a good impression and I will return soon for the lunch buffet again. To top it off they have Funko Pops!! And not just some cheap ones to act as a gimmick, they have actual decent Funko Pops that are well worth the time to check out, be it for the food or the Funko products do yourself a favor and visit Susie’s Lumpia House.
Hands down the best Filipino food I’ve had. As soon as you walk in the place makes you feel at home. They take pride in the food here. Lucky I found it while on tdy to lackland. Not the last time I’ll be here!!
Being Filipino but don't cook Filipino food, I usually go to Susie’s Lumpia House because it's like having a home-cooked meal without cooking it yourself. The lumpia is crunchy and flavorful. I buy what I need to eat for a couple of days and then go back when I get hungry for more.
It's been that way for a couple of years now. I love the food there. Also, my wife loves the lumpia as well. In fact, she sends me to buy some when she wants to eat it!
