Currently sitting inside Yum Wok and let's just say, My belly and I are very very happy :) This sesame chicken is delicious :) I definitely recommend you all to come have lunch here.
Great Authentic Chinese food. If you are tired of the bland, sweet dishes that are passed off as Chinese Cuisine you need to try this place. The Aubergine with Sea Food is my favourite.
Great food, real authentic Szechuan, hot pot, spicy crispy chicken, cumin lamb are amazing. Very friendly service too, definitely will be back.
A great place for after work. Happy hour is awesome. 2$ beers and half off appetizers. Stop by after work and grab some dumplings and brews!

Went with my wife on Saturday night and we ordered that nights special, Kung pao chicken.
The place was pretty empty but started to fill up as we were leaving at 8 pm. Asked for my egg roll that comes with dinner to be brought right out. It wasn't. When our dinner arrived I got my egg roll which is really a very small spring roll.
The chicken was fine but rather bland. It was also a very generous serving. Since I don't usually order Kung pao at other restaurants I didn't have anything to compare it to. So as I said it seemed rather bland.
Overall, the service was good, the meal acceptable and the place has a nice atmosphere with the brick waterfall as the dining room centerpiece.
I'd go back there again but this time I'll order what I usually do at a Chinese place and give it a fair comparison.
Excellent offering of Classic Chinese food. This is a second location of the Sichuan Restaurant off NW Military but more modern decor.
Out of a few Asian Fusion restaurants here in San Antonio, I like Yum Wok the best. I think it's because it's the least hyped. Never a wait, service is always on point and their Chengdu style dumplings and tea smoked duck are the best here, the Ma Po Tofu is also very good. The interior design is elegant and soft looking. It is a great place to get together if you are in the mood to explore Chinese cuisine .

Food was hot and fresh. Serving sizes are big. Granddaughter had a kids meal with sweet and sour chicken. I had chicken and shrimp Lomein. And both of us needed take home boxes because we could not finish our food. My husband had general chicken. My daughter had Sesame chicken. That was really good too. This place is just all around good. I've tried many restraunts and the hot n sour soup was delicious. Gotta try this place to see for yourself.

The food is pretty amazing and the portions are big. Love having takeout from here just wished they had longer hours. Highly recommend the combination fried rice. The staff is always friendly. This is now my favorite takeout restaurant
Just dropped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the sesame beef along with hot sour soup. My family enjoyed it all. We will be going back.
It's clean!!! The food is delicious; for the price it's worth it. They give you a big serving come if you're hungry! It is not like a buffet more of a restaurant feel. I will advice that they're English isn't perfect, but they do well at understanding. The bubble tea is delicious.
I admittedly haven't sampled a whole ton of their menu, but what I've had has been really good. I've only ordered take-out so I can't comment on the dine-in experience, but the inside of the restaurant is beautiful and well-kept. My go-to item is the Chengdu dumplings, which are absolutely delicious (and very hot, but you're warned as such on the menu).
Have eaten here for lunch and dinner, even brought a guest who loved it as well. Large portions and the food is wonderful, also many choices to choose on the menu including lamb. Also they deliver in my neighborhood. Fast and great food also when delivered. Bubble tea is refreshing.

I discovered this place during an evening search driving around for Chinese take-out and what a gem it is. The Orange Chicken is very good. The pieces are a good-size and uneven which means they're cut in-house, not some of the frozen stuff sold by those big food companies. Very moist, just the right amount of crust and sprinkled with sesame seeds, then served in a tangy, sweet sauce. We also had the Lo-Mein noodles with chicken and broccoli. Again, a home-run. Also, exceptional is the way they prepared a dish for me that isn't on the menu but worth trying. Order a dish of freshly steamed vegetables with chicken pieces and have the oyster sauce on the side. The veggies are crunchy, tasty and the sauce which is made from scratch and fired up in the wok delivers a flavorful, smoke flavor with a hint of pepper that kicks it up a notch. This is the real deal with fresh ingredients, generous portions and very reasonable prices. Trust me that I'll be coming back often.

Two Chinese friends recommended Yum Wok to us as the BEST Chinese cooking in San Antonio, so I took a visitor from Taiwan there to eat. He raved! The service is awesome as well. We have since returned there numerous times over the past few months. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
