Had an early bird special with a couple classmates yesterday and was extremely satisfied. The Hot and Sour Soup was good (not the best I have ever had but I am VERY picky on that) but what impressed me the most was the price and portion size! Very reasonable and more food than we could eat so we shared two plates between the three of us. Oh and the chili oil (another item I tend to be picky about) was great!
Was a busy lunchtime rush. The server held it down and was able to get to everyone and keep her patience. Friend was taking a CPR class in the center so decided to check it out. Food was great. Will definitely be back.
My Chicken Chow Mein was excellent! Best I've ever had.
Wife's Sweet and Sour Chicken a bit dry and rough.

The food was great! Hot and fresh! We had the Sweet & Sour Chicken with Mongolian Beef. It comes with an egg roll, rice, and soup. The Egg Drop soup was delicious! We also had the Fried Crabmeat Rangoon and Combination Lo Mein. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only down side is that it felt hot in there. The fans were going, but I think rotating in the wrong direction. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place!
I have forgotten about this little gem. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, and hot. The staff is so very friendly, and the atmosphere is great. We had the General TSO's Chicken, and the Shrimp Sczechuan Style. Food is great as always and these plates were the Family meals that came with soup, egg roll, Rangoons and fried rice. These 2 plated meals are enough to feed a family of 4, the price is right, around $34, and again, the wait staff is very friendly. My 2 cents, but give them a try.
I had an absolutely delightful experience at Happy Guy Chinese Restaurant!
The Crab Rangoons were generously stuffed and bursting with flavor. The Wonton soup was a delightful and left me craving more. The Lemon Chicken was impeccably crispy, and the sauce was an exquisite balance of sweet and tangy. The Egg Rolls were a true standout, impressing me with their crispy exterior and scrumptious filling. Rice was a little dry but when I added some lemon sauce it made up for that. And finally the Beef and Broccoli was tender almost melted in my mouth.
Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in this city. Every dish was a triumph, and I can't wait to return for another mouthwatering meal!
Ps. Parking is troublesome, but walking a few extra feet is well worth it. Or you can order ahead for a to go.

The food here is good and the service is fast. The waitresses are very friendly and welcoming. Be advised they don't have fountain drinks; they serve bottle drinks. They make the best sweet and sour sauce.
I have been going to this place since I was a kid. They food is Hot, Fresh and Taste Great. The Hot and Sour Soup is an aquired taste but it does grow on you. More Sweet than anything. The Prices are decent for the quantity you get and the staff is so Sweet and friendly.

Generals chicken and pepper steak is our go to…. egg drop soup is also a 10/10. Highly recommended it. The lo mein though I don’t recommend at all.
Great Chinese food. This is one of the only places in San Antonio that you can get a lunch special for under $10. The lunch comes with a meal soup eggroll and drink. Super fast service and great food.
1st time tonight and we were NOT disappointed. Great food and service. Our new go to place. All staff extremely courteous.
