Try the pizza calzone, you can choose a flavor for the crust and 3 toppings inside. It's is so delicious. The front counter customer service is excellent and the delivery is fast and fresh. They also run great specials!
This place is beyond delicious! I love the flavored crusts and while there are other pizza places in San Antonio that try to do flavored crusts, they fall short. We have four pizza places (three well-known national chains and one lesser-known chain in TX) between us and Hungry Howies, yet we still seem to find our way back to HH more often than not. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the owners at the location I visit (Bandera Rd next to the Sprint store) remember faces and greet you warmly!
Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a great pizza, and the sweet treats are tasty, too!
My mom and I decided to try out this place to eat for dinner since we’ve never heard of it before! The lady who took our order was very friendly. I love the variety of flavors they offer.
We got half of the Howie Maui (Hawaiian pizza) and the other half Asian Chicken for the 10” small pizza with a garlic-flavored crust. Overall, both flavors of the pizza were very delicious! I would definitely come back 😊
We decided to try This place based off of other reviews and wanting to expand our pizza restaurants. We ordered the specials 2 medium pizzas and than barbecue bone in wings with homies cheese bread. We live abt 15 mins away and have to say everything was delicious. We will definitely be coming back I’m a regular bases. The gentleman that worked there tonight was so nice and helpful and was excited when we told him it was our first time here. He even wrote thank you on the box definitely a nice touch. Please try this place if you are looking for a good affordable pizza. Our order total was less than $26 and feed 3 people but we had left overs still lol
Conveniently located at 1604 and Bandera. We ordered the Chef Salad and a Howie Special. It’s kinda like a supreme pizza. We order it with extra sauce and a garlic parm crust. The salad was made with fresh ingredients as was the pizza. We will return.
I’ve eaten at this location since it opened years back, I stopped and ordered a pizza to take home and it was made quickly. My only issue was it smelled so good when I brought it in the house and set it on the stove to cool off that the overwhelming smell of delicious pizza woke my daughter up and she stole some of my pizza I planned on eating myself!!
Since I moved to this area I've ordered from here 9 times, so it's needless to say I'm a fan of this pizza place. But, the past two times I've ordered the taste has been off. I don't know what it is, but it's making me wonder if something has changed, or if I'm unlucky and getting old ingredients.
The young lady at the counter was courtious and efficient.
I ordered the large deep dish "everything" and it was truly amazing. I am hooked on them from now on.
They have regular delivery or Doordash, but Google is incorrect in stating dine in.
Hungry Howie's has tasty pizza at great prices. They are always fast & efficient with our orders. To bad there isn't one a little closer to home.

Been eating pizza here since it opened, on a recommendation from a friend. I have to say, I've tried pizza many places and this one has to be the best. I like that they give options on light sauce. Would love an olive oil/garlic substitute for sauce and also green olives for a topping choice. The toppings are so fresh too. Also, I just love the sesame crust, it's so delicious! The only thing I would add is to bring back the soda with the lunch special. That was a treat!
Just ordered a pizza today for lunch. Still fast and efficient. Trevor A. took our order and he was the nicest person. Ordered a thin crust medium with a premium topping. Still so yummy. Tried the cheeto crust. The flavor for nov 2023. If you like Cheetoes go try. My daughters favorite place for thin crust. Perfect balance of flavors. A++ for pizza plus fresh, fast and efficient
